OCTOBER 15, 2001--- OUR SECOND ANNIVERSARY

(GIRL) No, we didn't meet on a romantic cruise ship though our very, very first "meeting" was quite unconventional too...We met in the virtual world of MiRC or online chatting sometime July 1999 after my debut. Chatting was the craze during those days. I'd chat up a storm with foreigners (we're from the Philippines by the way) but I've never really chatted locally (Davao)...until that "fateful" day =D My nick was QueenAmidala (I just recently watched Star Wars) while his was [angelo]. He messaged me first and complimented me on my nick while I replied "bow to your queen" as I'm quite a snob. I thought that was the end of it but he retorted back and that started it. The following days, I'd almost always chat, knowing he'd be there coz he was quite a Casanova online. Unlike other guys, he can talk & not about himself! He was a great conversationalist, interesting and I know some of his classmates too. Pretty soon, we exchanged email adds and phone #s. But take note, we haven't talked personally yet, not even over the phone. He began texting me thru his friend's phone and when he got his own phone (late August), we got closer and closer. Texting was unlimited then so we always texted, even while chatting! Twas really fun but it never entered my mind that I want this guy to be my boyfriend. Why? Coz I was still hang-up with an old high school flame. [angelo] was just a good friend at that time though we'd flirt a lot =D The result of that flirting? We agreed to EB or eyeball or see each other personally. By then, I knew him quite well as I asked his high school classmates (now my classmates) about him. He was a decent guy, they told me. So I told myself, why not? I enjoy his company after all. He was my first EB while I'm his 100th or what? =p
We met at a bookstore in a certain mall (late September). He was wearing a striped blue&yellow shirt (I just realized that I don't like this coz he looks small in it!), maong pants and DMs. I was wearing a dark blue blouse, striped pants and brown boots. We watched Deep Blue Sea and American Pie which was really hilarious! He ate my fries while I was struck by his intelligence. He seemed to know everything (hmm...a bluffing man!) and he tried to answer my questions unlike other guys who'd just say "I don't know" or "Beats me". He was different, that I could see. He was quite a gentleman too. At the end of the day, it dawned to me that I was attracted to him. Granted he wasn't really a hunky type of guy...but he was so intellectually stimulating and he's got the prettiest doe eyes I ever laid my eyes on. I seem to drown when I look into them. It still gives me goosebumps till now! =D Out of 10, I'd rate our date as an 8...As for him, I don't know what were his first impressions of me...except that he liked my hair coz it smelled great. Guys!
After our EB, things went smoothly uphill. We began a series of whirlwind dating...watching movies, eating out, talking over the phone, sharing thoughts in parks and all that stuff. In text, he was bugging me if he could court me and I'd always tell him yes you can...But our relationship will also remain virtual too. If he wants me flesh&blood then he must declare his love for me personally...not over text or chat or call. He said he can't coz he's really shy and afraid of rejection. I said that's ok coz we could remain friends. But to my GREAT surprise, he asked me out formally, holding my hands while we were watching the Runaway Bride!! Was I shocked! It took me a long time to answer his proposal to court me. You see, there was this scene in the movie where Julia Roberts proposed marriage to Richard Gere and her speech was quite touching (and this, I think, what drove [angelo] to propose to me). The speech goes lil like this: I guarantee you that we'll have tough times. I guarantee you that somewhere along the way, one of us would want to get out. But, if I won't ask you to be mine right now, I know I'd regret it for the rest of my life. Pretty touching ain't it? Still I really don't know what drove my love to ask me that day. It was shocking, to say the least! A week later (mid-October), I agreed to go steady with him though all was still in trial & error =D It was pretty fast but I was quite sure about him. No guy ever interested me as much as he did (& still does!). Besides, who can resist the call of the glands, errr...I mean, love? Certainly not I. And so on the 15th of October 1999, I kissed my very first boyfriend...and he kissed his very first girlfriend too...=D
(GUY) ...he sent this one thru text..."Well, I met you and discovered you (GIRL) to be interesting. There's this feeling inside me that I feel every time I talk to you or be with you. Then when I talk to you, I make some moves...if you know what I mean. Hehe! =D After our EB, I've been thinking that you're really special to me...And that's when I realized that I have fallen head over heels in love with you!" =D
(GIRL) If I were to say 1 word why we clicked a lot, it would be HOROSCOPES. Does that sound naive or superstitious? I don't believe so. Hehe! Our clicking together is more than just the sum of all our similarities and differences. There's this cosmic tie between us such that our attraction is much more than emotional, much more than physical. Perhaps if you're in love or have been in love, you'll understand what I'm saying =D I'm a Cancer while his Scorpio. It was said that the best match for Cancer girl is Scorpio and vice versa. I never believed in this stuff. But an incident convinced me...It happened when we were about 2 months into our relationship. He had to get a haircut and I went along with him.
