Rufus is a father! 5 pups born at CapeAnn Curlies 11/6/2004

Rufus will be a daddy in 2007

Rufus's father Jet is only the third MH CCR in history, and the first CCR with an AKC CH to become a Master Hunter. He is also the first obedience titled CCR to earn a MH. Jet is winner of the CCRCA annual Field Trophy (The Sarona Jacob of Marvadel & Sarona Sam of Marvadel Memorial Field Trophy) for 2003. He was co-winner of the annual Field trophy in 2001.

Jet's daughter Moxie (New CH SoftMaple's Pheasant Dreams CGC WC) just went Winners Bitch, Best of Winners at the 2004 CCRCA National Specialty for a 5 point major. She finished her CH the next day at the supported show.

Rufus's mother Seger was from the International litter. Seger and the other International kids are out of a Whopping litter of 17 pups born at SoftMaple Curlies November of 1999. See the litter

The International litter was very special to me. I spent a lot of time studying pedigrees, dogs, talking with breeders from Finland, The UK, Australia and The Netherlands. I made some great friends while researching this breeding. When I choose to do a breeding, I don't choose the most convenient stud. I chose what I think will make the best match. I shipped Bumper from NY to The Netherlands to breed to Dutch, VDH, German Ch. Caballus Inferno JWW'98, W'98, Europasieger '99, Bundessieger'99. Of course there were some nice studs closer. But to me breeding isn't about taking the easy way. There are no perfect dogs, and I'm not saying that the dogs outside the US are better in any way than the dogs inside the US. This was just a breeding I thought could take my breeding program in the direction I am aiming for. And I hope it has.

Their Mother Bumper, was born at Mathel Kennels, and lives at Fairway Kennels in California. She finished her CH at the 1998 National Specialty weekend. Her Grandmother Zelsa finished her CH picking up 3 five point majors at the 1993 National Specialty and supported enteries. (Dex was RWD at that National)

Their Father is Int, D, NL, VDH, Lux, DK Ch, JWW-98, W'98, Caballus Inferno Bundessieger -99, Europasieger -99 At the Danish Curly Club show he was Best Dog and BOS. At the Curly world seminar show 10.6. '98 he was Best of Breed Junior.

Rufus is a combination of some very nice bloodlines from overseas, combined with some strong established US lines.
