Summer Picnic 2003

on Saturday, August 9 2003 from Noon to Dusk

at Wickham Park,

Telugu Association of Connecticut (TACT) welcomes its members and friends for TACT2003  summer picnic at Wickham park in Manchester, Connecticut on Saturday August 9^th, 2003 from Noon to Dusk.

There are various facilities at Wickham park, so that the whole family can enjoy, including VolleyBall courts, Softball court, Walking trails, playgrounds and Tennis courts.

This picnic will be cancelled only, if there is any rain in Manchester on Aug 9^th. There will be no rain date.  In case of rain in Manchester on this date, please contact one of the TACT Executive Committee members on Aug 9^th, 2003 by 10:00AM for the status on the PICNIC.

Members are requested to bring their own sporting goods and a few blankets or bed sheets for sitting or for relaxing.

 Each member family is requested to bring a two-liter soda bottle, cookies or chips and one of the following foods. The food menu includes plain rice, tamarind rice, yogurt rice, puri, nan, potato curry, chick pea curry, pickles, pakodi, corn, fruits (watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes, banana, oranges or apples).  Please do bring some ice coolers with ice to keep drinks cold.

 PICNIC PROGRAM SCHEDULE:

·         Games (Adults & Kids)

·         Bingo, Anthakshari etc.

·         Face Painting for Kids

·         Snack

Picnic Charges   :   For Members and Children FREE

                               For Non - Members : $5.00 / Adult

                               Parking Fee : $3 / Car

Driving Directions:

From Hartford take I-84 east a few short miles to exit 60. At the end of the exit ramp, take a left and the park's entrance is less than one half mile on the right.

From Boston and points east, take I-84 west to a combination exit for exits 62 and 60. Follow the signs for exit 60. You will parallel I-84 until you come to the exit. Take a right hand turn at the end of the exit ramp. The park's entrance is one tenth of a mile on the right.

Telugu Movie MURARI Str. Mahesh Babu and Sonali Bendre was screened on Mother's Day May 13, 2001 Sunday at Cine 1-2-3-4 ,New Haven.We thank all the members and friends who attended the movie.

Summer Picnic 2001 held at Hop Brook Lake, Middlebury, CT on July 21, 2001. We thank all the members and friends who attended the picnic.

We thank all the volunteers who helped us in conducting the SANKRANTI 2001, UGADI 2001 , Movie MURARI, Summer 2001 Picnic, SANKRANTI 2002, UGADI 2002, Summer Picnic 2002, Sankranti 2003, Ugadi 2003. We need volunteers to successfully celebrate the Summer Picnic 2003 and other upcoming events. Any one who is interested please call and inform any TACT committee members. How to become a Member:
You can become a member in two ways.
1) You can attend one of the TACT's upcoming events and filling up the Membership application & pay by check (or cash) at the Registration.
2) You can mail a check with your details like address, your spouse name (for Family memberships), phone number and email address with the check. On the check, please note that it is for "Membership".

Membership will be effective for one year from Ugadi to Ugadi Event.

$25/- for family per year
$10/- for single per year

How to Renew Membership:
Please send a check for next years' dues along with your details
