CSUSM MEChA would like to wish all a prosperous new year! We would also like to remind you that for those that have committed their lives to the cause of the people, there is little to no rest or vacation time, and one of the most important and significat dates of revolutionary struggle has been the New Year, January 1st. The Cuban Revolution led by Fidel Castro, and Ernesto "Che" Guevara was declared a victory on January 1, 1959. Also, one of Mexico's brightest and exemplary hopes of revolutionary change for the country, the Zapatista National Liberation Army, made itself known to the world by launching a revolutionary armed offensive on the 1st of January of 1994.
