Synopsis:

"Joan Allen and J.K. Simmons will topline Holedigger Films' indie feature "Off the Map," which actor-helmer Campbell Scott will direct. Production begins Aug. 26 in Taos, N.M. "Map" is based on a play by Joan Ackerman, who adapted the material into screenplay form. The project is a coming-of-age tale about an 11-year-old girl (Valentina deAngelis), who, during the summer, sees her father (Sam Elliot) come down with a crippling depression. During the course of the season, she learns answers to several mysteries and comes to terms with love and loss."
