The first project launched is "Grocery for the poor" project. What is this grocery for the poor project? We are reaching out for those seven poor families first by providing material help through these grocery goods. We provide 200-peso worth of grocery a month for each of these families. In this way somehow we alleviate their burden due to the rising cost of living. Because of this project these families became more receptive to the gospel, because they can see that we are really concern and really care for them. You must first show them by your deeds what you preach. Sometimes people are tired of preaching without actually seeing the concern of those who are sharing to them God's Word.
Out of these seven families, we were able to establish a home bible study with 10-15 regular attenders. As of the present we are conducting an evangelistic Bible study series with them. We meet regularly every Saturday evening.
Our goal for 2008 is to be able to reach out for ten families in this community and channel them to the weekly bible study.In the future the ministry envision to finance livelihood programs for these families.
