| I am a veterinarian and a novice, hobby Bengal breeder. I chose the Bengal cat because of its athleticism, outgoing and curious personality, and of course, its beautiful coat. The goals of some of the early Bengal breeders - to produce a hybrid of a wild species with a wild look in order to decrease the poaching of wild cats for fur or pets - also intrigued me. Having some experience working in zoos with large cats, I was also fascinated by the opportunity to own a hybrid of the Asian Leopard Cat. We began our in home cattery early in 2005 with our first girl, Maggie, a lovely seal mink snow Bengal, and now have 2 males and 4 females. We hope to have snow and brown spotted kittens available, and will be concentrating mainly on spotted coats. | Our kittens are placed in new homes at 12-16 weeks of age. I spay or neuter all pet kittens before they leave our cattery, included in the price. I also give their first three vaccinations, three physical exams and two parasite preventative treatments(3 if they are still here at 14-16 weeks old). Kittens are raised in our home, with children and other pets, and are well socialized before placement. Our cattery is feline leukemia virus and feline immunodeficiency virus free. Kittens are registered with The International Cat Association (TICA). We will ship kittens to approved homes at the owner's expense. We also provide one month of health insurance for your kitten if you desire. |
