THE ILLUSTRATED DISCOVERY JOURNAL (link below)
Ladies, I am sharing these because I have seen some of you sit there for years and never start, thinking it was something too hard and fearing making a mistake. I was nervous about sharing these, since it is supposed to be kind of like a secret...but I've shared everything else about my inner thoughts with you, and I think it is more important to get you started. If you are afraid to start in your real discovery journal, start on a piece of notebook paper with a glue stick, and practice cutting * gluing a page or 2 from anything in the adds from the paper. In a few minutes, you will get the idea and have enough confidence to really start. The point is, is to not worry about if you can afford something or if it looks like your weight or coloring. Only choose whatever it is that when you go thru a magazine or add of anykind, that you find yourself stopped and staring at wistfully. It doesn't matter if it is clothes or home fashion, pamper products, landscape, fresh fruit - IT JUST DOESN'T MATTER. Now imagine all these pictures that brought some little wonderful feeling to you when you were staring at them, in a book that had nothing else but pictures that you enjoyed. No leafing thru pages and hitting a good one ever 6 pages, just 100% things YOU LOVE, when you open the pages. If you can't afford fancy magazines and books, use a spiral ring notebook, and when you look at my pics, realize that the first 6 pages came from 100% store adds, and some scans of my own jewelery, 1 foto of me, and 1 cd cover:

I was watching Shabby Chic show on the Style channel and I love it so much....I saw how she presented everything with such graciousness. The beauty she never leaves out of anything she does - like so many of us who are ALWAYS rushing to just get it done. Whenever the camera showed a bunch of flowers, or even a beautful flower painted on some piece of china she had, it began to occur to me....how many times I had looked at one of my favorite flowers and stood there drinking in the beauty and letting it have its affect on me, and I suddenly realized that I want to be that flower. I want to bother to 'present' myself, so that when my family sees me I am giving them the same gift the flower gave me, and I fill them with those same feelings of peacefulness and gladness, making them feel 'ahhhhh' to be home.
2. "Something More/ Excavating Your Authentic Self" with yellow leaf hardback cover - the first thing I bought that amazed me and sent me out to buy the rest!
3. "Simple Abundance Companion" - a large book with a blue leaf soft cover. Waiting for me to read it (and I really want to, it's just that I bought so much at once. I can't absorb it all at once, but often leaf thru and pick up things cause I can't stand to leave it waiting, untouched!
4. "The Illustrated Discovery Journal" Large hardback looseleaf book with a red leaf cover. This is a beautiful place to make collages of all the things you see and cut out to express what beauty is to you.
5. There is a journal/gratitude book , that I don't have, where you write in your gratitudes everyday, no matter what. It can change your entire perspective and break the habit of being a pessimist(sp?)
6. - Gee! It is entirely possible she has out another book that I don't even know about!
Here is the link to Sarah's website, which is displaying the reading from May 1 on it's main page. Be sure to click on TRADITIONS from her menu, I was just reading it when I got your message asking for more info. It is great. You can find these books at bookstore, or even regular stores that carry magazines and books. Meijer's which is a combo grocery/household store had them, and the books in these kinds of stores are always a little less expensive. Sarah's Website ~ ENJOY!:
