| County Seat Pub & Eatery Is Proud To Be Shenandoah Valley Headquarter for Belgium's Great Beers We are proud to serve: Duvel which is an ale, in that it is made by top-fermentation. It is soft and seductive, yet it is a very strong beer. Connoisseurs are devoted to Duvel for its complexity and delicacy. Duvel is such an individualistic beer that there is no name for the style. Chimay which is from the best-known of the Trappist brewing monasteries. The abbey, in the Romanesque style, was built in 1850. It was the first to sell their beer commercially. Chimay has a flavor reminiscent of figs, bananas and chocolate. The Chimay abbey also makes an excellent Chimay Trappist cheese similar to a Port Salut. Lindemans Lambic Fruit Beers are ideal for long hot summers. Lindemans fruit flavoured beers from Belgium provide the perfect appetiser and cocktail for the discerning drinker. Long known on the Continent as the preferred alternative to spritzers, panache's, and mixed drinks, Lindemans fruit beers are the major new arrival in the long, cool drinks market. Kriek and Pecheresse are the two most popular flavors of Lindeman beers. St. Bernardus a mellow-bitter pale amber triple ale wit a wonderful head, slightly sweet aroma of rosewater, and the orangey-grassy floavors of Styrian hops in the finish, wonderfully drinkable and surprisingly light. Achel Trappist is cloudy, pale gold with fresh, spicy and fruity aroma. Quite sweet up front, quickly matched by a dry sourness and mildly bitter finish. Qutstandly drinkable, but quickly intoxicating. Rochefort Trappistes is a beautifully balanced complex Trappist ale with great depth and many layers of taste. Has a wonderful texture if served at the correct temperature. World classic. Our Belgium beers are served in the traditional style, at room tempature. They are also available chilled.
