Update! July 28, 2003 I fixed the download link so that the file actually is the updated version of NPRQuake. Sorry about any confusion that I may have caused.

Update! July 24, 2003 I came across a new renderer for NPRQuake, and decided to add it to my package. This one does cartoon style rendering and is by Adrian Ilie. I suppose now there's a reason to use this over the SDL port. If anyone wants to add this renderer to the SDL port, only ainpr.c and matrixFunc.h need to be copied into the dynamic_r directory from Adian Ilie's source distribution. This also needs to be linked against GLU. The various files that are included with the binary available at the website for this renderer must also be extracted to the build directory. This release also removes the need to add the .so extension to the renderer names.

Update! February 13, 2002 It looks like someone's created an SDL version of NPRQuake. My latest version is still available here, but the SDL version might give you less trouble.

Update! February 11, 2002 This release includes a couple small fixes, as well as mouse support, thanks to some changes borrowed from MFCN's GLQuake!

Update! February 8, 2002 A couple small fixes for people with trouble compiling and for freezes when starting NPRQuake have been included. As usual, these haven't been tested by me. The fixes are the following:

In addition, I changed my instructions from copying/linking the entire id1 subdirectory to copying/linking just the pak*.pak files.

Update! February 6, 2002 A small fix for those who are suffering from Error: memory overwrite in Sys_Printf has been added to NPRQuake for Linux. It is untested, but should probably work. For those who don't want to download again, change line 89 of NPRQuakeSrc/sys_linux.c from:

char text[1024];
to:
char text[2048];
and then of course run make again.

Update! January 29, 2002 I tried NPRQuake and just had to port it to Linux. I actually have little knowledge of programming... it's basically a few minor changes to make it work in Linux as well as a couple Makefiles. Enjoy!
