This page is being created to share fun sites and fun topics
with others. I enjoy a variety of activities and will provide information
regarding them here. This site will be constantly under construction
as I learn how to create it, so please stop by again to see what
changes may have taken place. At this time, the links do not work, these will be put up as I finish them.
I would also like to introduce myself and my pets to you. I am in the process of obtaining some more recent pictures of them.
My Pets.
I live in the state of Kansas. I enjoy the friendliness of my neighbors and the quietness of a small town. I enjoy working in the garden after a long day on the job. There are wild rabbits and squirrels out back that entertain the cats and myself. I am learning to identify the many birds that come to rest in the trees. A vibrant Cardinal can be seen amongst the green leaves. Bluejays, Chickadees, Starlings, a Crow or two, and some that I haven't been able to identify yet. As I mow the grass, they hop behind catching the bugs. I can lay down the water hose and move away and watch them bathe. I was thrilled the first year to see deer run through the front yard. Every year, the geese fly overhead. I plant the State Flower, Sunflowers, and I've learned the State Song is Home on The Range.
I enjoy most types of music, and have added some of the lyrics to my site to share. Since my taste varies from classical to country, with a little bit of everything thrown in between, it would be impossible to list everything here. I hope this gives you an idea of what I do like.
I also enjoy poetry. I have added a couple from my youth that I have always enjoyed. I will add others as I find a background to go with the poem. I hope you stop, take the time to read one or two, and enjoy them.
One of my all time favorites is Ben Burroughs. I read his poems in the local newspaper growing up, and his "Sketches" had a lasting affect on me. I still maintain some of the original newspaper clippings. Another favorite is Robert Frost. And another that I am sure everyone knows is Elizabeth Barrett Browning
I enjoy cooking for family and friends. I have added a few of my favorites here.
I enjoy making quilts for my family, friends and special projects. I hope to display finished quilts here as well as provide links to sites that I find interesting.
I have a separate list for the mystery quilts as those are my favorite sites, and I have also listed online fabric shops.
I like to also share some of the fun sites that have been provided to me by family and friends. Sites with Tigger or Taz or other cute places.
This list will grow as I receive these sites from various friends. Hope you enjoy these.
