This page is dedicated to two very special women, Dianne and Patti, my Sisters. "We are each other... As we are Ourselves"

We were fortunate to grow up in a family home with two parents who loved and valued us. Our childhood was fairly ordinary, interlaced with the usual ups and downs that life bestows. We were a household of women. Poor Dad...I guess that is why he always had "boy" dogs. That way, he was not quite so out numbered.

Dianne is the youngest and probably the sanest of us all. Her common sense and insightful approach to life never ceases to amaze me. She has the uncanny ability to see the reality of a situation. More than once, she has brought me back to earth with her straight forward and sound advise.

Her days are filled with activities that often revolve around her husband and two growing boys. She often jokes about the hardship of being the only women in the house, but through it all, her pride in her men is evident. Di is my rock. Whether times are good or bad, she is always there.

Patti is the middle child and I often think that her personality reflects this. She is the flamboyant one...never afraid to take on a new challenge or adventure. This has not always led her down the safest of roads but with her, life is never dull.

Patti has a certain flare, and this is evident in both her dress and her life style. If anyone can frustrate me, it is Patti, but she has also taught me to respect another's viewpoint. She has a heart of gold and is not afraid to do things her way.


Distance separates all three of us. Many times I have wished that we lived closer, or at least in the same city. I would love to visit them on a whim...just for coffee and a chat. The times that we do spend together are precious and very much anticipated. Life is not always rosie between us, but even through the rough times, there is the knowledge that we are sisters and always there for each other.
