Blood and Sand (1941) [Juan Gallardo]: Reportedly gored to death by a bull in the arena. (I haven't seen this movie myself.) (Thanks to DLS) The Eddy Duchin Story (1956) [Eddy Duchin]: Dies (off-screen) of leukemia. The movie presents his death symbolically by showing him playing a piano duet with his son (Rex Thompson), followed by some camera movement which eventually reveals Rex by himself at the piano. Witness for the Prosecution (1957) [Leonard Stephen Vole]: Stabbed in the chest by Marlene Dietrich in the courtroom, after she discovers he's leaving her for Ruta Lee. (Thanks to Betty) |
