Introduction

You are going to have to do some research!  Your health class has signed a contract with the teacher promising to  track and record the foods they eat over the Spring Break.  You are committed to eating healthy for 5 consecutive days in a row.  The whole class has to return their food diaries when they return and  all of you that  meet the goal you  will earn a field trip to the swim club the last week of school.  The problem is you have to decide what healthy eating consists of?  You are sure it's not you normal diet of Big Mac's and Fries. You are going to see how easy it is to eat right and maintain a healthy weight.


Task

You are going to learn about your body's need for  nourishment. You are to discover the importance of  maintaining a healthy diet. How to get the needed nutrients in the proper serving size to accomplish eating the balanced diet the food pyramid suggests is required to maintain your health. You will complete a list of questions having to do with information you should have found while visiting the sites and engaging in the activities that are available there for you to explore.

Your going to find this information  by doing online research looking up information and playing some games that your teacher suggested would be fun and informational. The handout for your assignment has specific questions you will need to know the answers to.
