The chat completed in fall of 2002. It was an awsome run. Thank you to all the players. Rando, Ry, Jim, and the few that came and went, but gave input that made the game that much more enjoyable.
If you like the idea, please inquire about the Novel this chat is based on.

Welcome to Itára!
This is a place for
all who enjoy a good role play with an actual plot line. I am Kirica, your hostess,
and I play the character Mason Kitch. Please come in, sit down, and have a chat with us.
"Come the day in the Age of Darkness, the last of light, the last of hope will dispell the shadows that haunt--thus
delivering us to freedom and rekindling the fire of our magic."
~Sorchimorita Meicotica. P'nai Layathatra (seer)

Plot!
It all started about 50 years ago when a race of beings called Svori came across the Solaric
ocean to the continent of Itára. They waged war on the people, using what they could to nulify all Magic
in the land, and make the inhabitants hate it, even fear it. Anyone possessing the gift of
magic was cast out of their homes, banned from their lands, and in most cases, killed.
These people were known as the P'nai. They were Humans gifted in ways of wizardry. Only a Human could hold this
kind of magic as the P'nai held.
They'd long since been a dominant factor of Itára's history
since it was founded by Adess and Artim Reign 1500 years before. Though the P'nai were a powerful magical race,
they could not stop the Svorin Dominion from overtaking the land. They were hunted down like animals by both them, and the people due to fear, false justice, and ignorance. The only
refuge they found was with the Resistance, lead by Tearnin Normajia and his twin sister, the ethereal Aurellianthalisa.
Tochravanthis--an immortal who
loathed the P'nai--ordered the destruction of all magic on Itara. The Resistance held up long enough
to become a serious thorn in the Dominion's side, but they refused to give up. Only a few scattered
groups remain.
It had become the Age of Darkness.
As for the P'nai, they were thought to have all been destroyed in the Cleansing.
One survived the carnage to live in igorance of his own history; hidden in the saftey of plain sight, kept in the life of a Manke-a Normal without magic. This One was raised with the beliefs taught to every Itaran since the Invasion; that magic didn't exist, the P'nai never were, what once was fact was now fiction, and all hope for the lives they once lead--the lives anyone under 50 should have lead--had been lost.
But one survived.

Since I now work with High Def cameras, and can work in a green screen studio, I find it fitting to post a link to my work website for any aspiring filmmmaker. Bob Bekian has made this the best job I've ever had, and I hope to stay for a long time. Go to Pro HD Rentals if you're curious.
