Dina, age 4, was dx in 8/02 with Ewing's Sarcoma / PNET tumor of the chestwall. The tumor was removed, along with 3 ribs and part of her diaphragm. No mets to the lungs or bone marrow...Thank GOD! She is our inspiration and is the one who gives us the strength to overcome this disease. She continues to do what she loves best: play with her pets, learn about animals and dance infront of the mirror. Dina has finished 28 treatments of radiation and 8 rounds of chemo. We are half way there...only 6 more chemo treatments to go. She is a fighter, and has been fighting this disease with dignity, strength, and her vivacious personality, stealing everyone's heart along the way! The strong chemo drugs can't tear her down! Her biggest complaint throughout this all has been about the dressing changes on her Broviac and the G-CSF shots. We know this is an aggressive cancer, and we pray everyday that Dina will continue to fight, and that the cancer will NEVER return once we get rid of it. We are so proud of her...way to go Dina..you are our hero! Fight that cancer! Cancer, cancer go away..don't come back, any day!
Dina's current Chemo's have been put on hold for the time being but she is going great - Proving to be the Super Hero that she is!!!She is fighting this battle with all the courage and strength that any adult could - yet she is only 4 years old.
