100,000 people perish every day, not of accidents or infections, nor of wars and crime, but of the single deadliest scourge of all time, aging. Thought by the mainstream to be incurable and even, in a perversion of morality, desirable, death by aging can and must, in fact, be fought scientifically, just as any other peril afflicting man. Increasing numbers of illustrious members of the scientific community are recognizing this truth, among them the Cambridge University biogerontologist, Dr. Aubrey D.N.J. de Grey and the entrepreneur David Gobel, the architects of the Methuselah Foundation.  The Methuselah Mouse Prize, sponsored by the Foundation, is an effort funded by private donations in an attempt to inspire monumental breakthroughs in the extension of human lifespans. The first step toward this purpose is the development of the “Methuselah Mouse,” a mouse that can live up to 5 years, or the equivalent of 180 mouse-years, thereby demonstrating to the general public the feasibility and desirability of life extension technology for humans. If the applications of biotechnology to even a single species of mammal can overcome the obstacles imposed by senescence, imagine what potential this would spell out for human life extension! The Chicago Methuselah Foundation Fund (CMFF) is conceived as an affiliate organization with the Methuselah Foundation. The  purpose of the CMFF  is to bring about $5000 in private donations to the Methuselah Mouse Prize. The CMFF effort is entirely a volunteer project, and no salaries or profits are earned by its staff. CMFF staff shall be involved in presenting information concerning the Methuselah Mouse Prize and arguments regarding the desirability of contributing to it, as well as directing potential donors to the mechanisms by which contributions can be made. Donors and the public shall be updated in full about the progress of the endeavor, and shall receive due public recognition for their efforts. All donors will have the option of contributing to either the Postponement Prize Fund, or the Reversal Prize Fund established by the Methuselah Foundation, and specifying their preferences. Contributions can be made by filling out the fields on the donation page; when you click "Donate" you will be taken to WorldPay, the world's leading payment provider, to enter credit card details. The amount that you donate, together with your name unless you indicate that you wish to remain anonymous, will appear in the Foundation's roll-call of Donors to the Methuselah Mouse Prize. You will receive automatic email notification that the Methuselah Foundation has received your donation. 2.
