    MY MEMORIES OF THE 1985 BEARS


    THE MOST DOMINATING DEFENSE OF ALL-TIME HAS TO BE THE 85 BEARS WITH THIER 46 DEFENSE.

    THROUGH 19 gms, THAT YEAR THEY LOST ONLY ONCE, AND ALLOWING AN AVERAGE OF ONLY 10.9 POINTS PER GAME.
    I REMEMBER WATCHING THE SUPER BOWL.
    AFTER THE PATS SCORED A FIELD GOAL (after the fumble) THE BEARS KICKED INTO HIGH GEAR.ONLY ALOWING 7 YRDS TOTAL RUSHING.A SUPER BOWL RECORD.
    THE ONLY SAD THING ABOUT THE WHOLE EXPERINCE WAS THAT PAYTON DID NOT SCORE A TD. HE WAS THERE WITH THE TEAM DURING THE BAD TIMES SO I THOUGHT AT LEAST DITKA WOULD HAVE GIVEN HIM THE BALL INSTEAD OF THE FRIDGE, COME ON YOUR ON THE GOAL LINE, YOU MEAN TO TELL ME THAT PAYTON WOULD NOT SCORE IN 4 TRIES.


    OHH WELL THATS IN THE PAST LETS MOVE ON. HERE IS ALOT OF STUFF FROM THAT AWESOME SUPER BOWL RUN OF THE MONSTERS OF THE MIDWAY, DA CHICAGO BEARS

    A half-century from now, they'll still be talking about the 1985 Chicago Bears. Oh sure, they were a dominant team that won 15 of 16 games during the regular season, and their performance in Super Bowl XX was overwhelming. But great teams come and go -- indeed, the Bear's dynasty crumbled the next season, When Buddy Ryan went to coach the Eagles the following season. It was the character of the '85 Bears that set this team apart. From swashbuckling quarterback Jim McMahon to fiery coach Mike Ditka, this was a charismatic team that enthralled millions. The Bears were so supremely confident of their destiny that they recorded a rap song, "The Super Bowl
    Shuffle," weeks before the end of the regular season.
    By halftime of Super Bowl XX, Chicago had a 23-3 lead en route to an overwhelming 46-10 rout of the New England Patriots. A crowd of 73,818 rocked the Louisiana Superdome at intermission with its stomping and singing:
    "We're not here to start no trouble.
    "We're just here to do the Super Bowl Shuffle!"
