We have developed this site in the hopes of giving back some of what we have been priviliged to attain, the pleasure of the company of dogs. While these pages are specifically about our Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, our foundation breed. We have had the pleasure of owning/breeding, Schipperkes, Greyhounds, Bearded Collies, Australian Shepherds, Brittanies, and Labrador Retrievers over the last thirty years. As an All-Breed Professional Handler and a Handling Instructor for the last 20 years our experiences encompass well over 100 breeds of dogs. Each dog has been our teacher, and we find that although we call ourselves a Trainer or a Handler, the reality is that we have been little more than the student of our charges.

Within these pages you will find a host of information regarding the Purchasing, Care, and Training of the Chesapeake Bay Retriever. We have included a very large number of photographs of some of the top dogs in the history of this breed. Just as our knowledge of how to train is continually being adjusted so will these pages reflect those changes. Please check back often for updates and remember, no one method works for every dog, but there is a method or combination of methods that will work for every dog. Train, Don't Complain!

It should be noted that while the training and care pages specifically mention the Chesapeake breed, the methods are truly generic and are based on what we have learned from all of the breeds that we have worked with. Unless otherwise noted they would work for any dog.
