| All my life I have dreamed of owning Appaloosas. In 1997 my husband and I bought 26 acres on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. By the Spring of 1999 I had my first Appaloosa and the obsession begins... By May of 2001 we had our first foal. We named him Mighty High Diver but call him "Matrix". His Sire is an Appalossa and his Dam is a gray Arabian. He was born looking just like his Sire "Splash" But by the time he was 5 months old he had grayed out (but still had his spots) and looked like his Dam "Bonita". We hope to send him to a trainer in the spring. He has a lovely floating jog and should make a fine rider. |
| We have repeated this breeding in hopes we can get another as nice as "Matrix". My Husband likes the look of the Halter horses so... The majority of our breeding program will be geared to the Halter horse. How ever I will try to produce an all around well bred horse. Built well with the combination of fluid movement and a good level mind. The name of our farm Chesaloosa, is a combination of the dogs we breed and show, Chesapeake Bay Retrievers and the Horses we breed and show, Appaloosas. Both Appaloosas and Chesapeake Bay Retrievers are American Breeds. We here at Chesaloosa Farm are proud to be Americans. We Thank all those who have fought and died for our Country and for the Freedom we enjoy today. May God continue to bless the U.S.A. |
