Described by her mother as "the heart of the family", Piper, the sensitive middle child, spent much of her life acting as a mediator for Prue and Phoebe. She was quiet and shy in school and could usually be found hanging around the back of the classroom and pretty much keeping to herself. Of the three Halliwells, Piper is the most cautious, generally preferring to think things out rationally rather than rushing into a situation. She tends to hang on the sidelines, letting her sisters take the credit.
Trained as a chef, Piper worked in Quake, one of San Francisco's trendiest restaurants. However, she set her sights high and, with her sisters' help, took a huge risk and opened her own nightclub, P3. It was a good move, as P3 is one of the hottest spots in the city.
One of her longings is to have a normal life, which is something that can never happen. She oftentimes feels that her powers get in the way, along with the many rules she and her sisters have to follow. After years of falling in love with the wrong guys, she finally met Leo. However, theirs was a forbidden love affair, as Whitelighters, a sort of guardian angel for witches, are not supposed to fall in love with their charges. Piper and Leo broke pretty much every rule in the book and were forbidden to marry. However, after months of review, the Elders finally allowed the ceremony to take place. |
