Cusco... the navel of the Earth

   Make sure you don't miss it.... in the navel of the Earth, our beautifull capital C'osqo (Cusco), you are the guest of Sapa Inca himself.
See the golden Coricancha from the inside and join in a llama-race up the mountain. Visit a city of your choice in one of the many tours. And last but not least be one of the v.i.p. guests at the banquet together with many royalty guests.

 Here you are welcomed by the carriers that are going to bring you to C'osqo. Sit back and relax from your journey, while you can grasp a glimpse of our beautifull country.

 
C'OSQO
In C'osqo you will be taken into the heart of the city and brought to the Coricancha, with it's golden walls and relics. Here you join in for a short service by one of sapa Inca's own sjamans.

TIME OFF
After this you will have some time to yourself and may wander into the city, visit a ballgame or play some games, or take one of the tours into the country-side.

You can visit Tikal, the Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu and Palenque*


Cosqo

* Palenque is under construction at the moment of the making of this brochure, but we hope that everything will be ready for the 19th of october.
 
LLAMA RACE
Then there is the moment that you've all been waiting for, the start of the llama-race. The competitors have to run with their llama's up the hill to Sacsayhuaman. The winner will be rewarded with a fine golden statuet and will be siting next to Sapa Inca at the banquet later on the day.

 
BANQUET
Back to the city, you will be received at the big square in the centre of town, where everything is ready for the emperors banquet. For this occasion we've hired the cooks from emperor Moctezuma to prepare the food and the Virgins of the Sun will be entertaining you this evening.
MENU:
We start with some delicious guacamole with baked crisp tortilla chips, popcorn, roasted peanuts, toasted pumpkin seeds, miniature steamed tamales filled with beans and chiles.

First Course:
Cerviche with fresh fish prepared in a salsa of lime and hot chiles.

Second Course:
Roast turkey with native sage, yams prepared with honey, baked squash, salad of tomatoes and jicama with fresh lime. Freshly baked tortillas.

Dessert:
Fresh fruit cup with pineapple, mangos and papaya.

DRINKS:
Tamarindo juice, pulque with lime, Chocolate, hot or cold prepared with vanilla and honey.

 ON BOARD
After the banquet it's time to leave... Our carriers will be waiting to take you back to the shore where you'll get on board of the Phoenix again.
