I have found one of the best tools for my research are the cemeteries. I live in Staten Island NY and am near some of the greatest and oldest cemeteries. I also go often to Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan. I have learned my way around some of the large cemeteries like St. John's, Evergreen, Cypress Hills and the list goes on.
I know there are many people who would be interested in a picture of their families head stone. Especially if they live out of state. I am willing to travel to cemeteries in the New York City region and New Jersey.
I will take several photographs of the stone so that you can personally read the inscription. I will also transcribe it for you and send the transcription along with the photos. I do this because some stones are very old and hard to read from pictures.
If interested, I can send you a sample of my work. My rates vary based on travel and information provided. Please note that noone can guarantee the existence or the condition of a stone. On a different side, I am also willing to take photos of churchs for those of you who would love to see some of the beautiful places were their ancestors may have been married or baptised. I am also willing to find homes where your ancestors may have lived and photograph them as well.
