THE BIBLE IS SELF-CONSCIOUSLY AN HISTORICAL BOOK. More than any other foundational text in the man’s history, it claims to be an historical book. Thus, Christians need to treat it as the historical document it claims to be. Modern scholarship, even Christian scholarship, has too often refused to do this, especially with regard to the Old Testament. If we do not understand the historical context (“with text”), we will have trouble understanding the text itself. If we fail to understand both text and context, we risk misapplying the text’s message in our lives.

ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND WELCOMES

The ORIGINS NEWSLETTER and eNEWSLETTER is published by the: Historic Research Group which meets every month to discuss a wide range of subjects - as shown on the side pannel. The main feature of research is the historic identity of the ancient Israelite people with the modern Scandinavian / Nordic - Celtic - Anglo-Saxon-Germanic and related European peoples also known as Brito-Scandinavians and Caucasians. The HRG is not a church or an ecclesiastical group, but holds as the foundation for its research - THE BIBLE - WHICH IS SELF-CONSCIOUSLY AN HISTORICAL BOOK. It is hoped that you enjoy visiting our website.

The
eNewsletter is freely available by subscription by sending an email to the email address below and type in the subject line or in the email - subscribe to Origins eNewsletter - due to cost restrains the printed version is limited.

Welcome to the official website of the Historic Research Group of Whangarei, New Ulster, New Zealand. We wish you one hundred thousand welcomes in the tradition of our Gaelic speaking ancestors.

Because we are not a religious group and don’t have any formal ties with any particular denomination, we do not have any particular religious barrow to push. We do however study religion as an academic subject, along with the other subjects listed.

As an educational organisation we value the work done by those who have gone before and developed the Israel Identity thesis and Biblical Law - such as the late
Thomas Whitehouse who wrote a fine essay on the book of Ezekiel, which argued that the book should not be interpreted outside of its historic setting (see Discussion Paper Four). The list is vast with names like John Wilson, a Scot, who has been credited with the founding of the modern movement that developed into the British Israel World Federation in the United Kingdom. In the United Sates there was the late Howard B. Rand who magnum opus was “The Digest of the Divine Law” - and of late - Prof. Terry Blodgett, Steven Collins, Craig White, Frank Dowsett, Harold Stough, Arnold Kennedy and the late Stanley Roland Bennett - and in the area of Biblical Law the late Dr Rousas John Rushdoony, whom this writer had the pleasure of knowing personally.

The HRG is planning to publish a history of this movement and it will be included in a future edition of the HRG eBook CDRom disk - along with over 200MB of eBooks on a wide range of subjects.

The links to other sites page will grow as we secure permission from the owners of those sites. We thank
Craig White and Martin Doutré for their work and allowing us to promote their sites and research they are involved in. We will also promote the work being done by the International Arthurian Research Foundation.

Heraldry is one of this writer’s passions and we will be demonstrating how there is a direct relationship with the symbols of ancient Israel and the nations of the Brito-Scandinavian peoples today. The very fine book by the late
W.H. Bennett of Canada “Symbols of Our Celto Saxon Heritage” is a pioneer in this field. He has shown that many attempts of identifying where the Israelite tribes/clans went were faulty due to the lack of understanding of the science of heraldry.

Our book section will present book reviews and where to source the books. There is a wealth of literature out there that we can educate ourselves with.
