Lov'n Mi-Sher Cattery is an expression of love for cats! During the 1970s and 1980s, I owned, breed, and showed some of the finest Russian Blue's ever to be entered into the show ring of which many earned and were awarded the titles of Champions and Grand Champion. Many of their off-springs acquired the same status. I was delighted to have contributed to enhancing the breed; however, a new priority arose in my life and that was the raising of my four children, although I continued to own cats as companion animals. Now that my children are grown, I decided to once again not only own cats, but breed and show them to promote a selected breed; however, which breed would that be? Having developed allergies with age, I decided to investigate the "hairless" cat know as the Sphynx. I was amazed by the affectionate nature of these natural wonders. Due to this affectionate nature and high-touch quality, my husband and I fell under the enchantment of these magnificent animals. Originating in Canada in 1966, these "hairless," playful delights are of non-pedigree shorthair ancestry. Although described as "hairless," Sphynx cats do retain a variable amount of short, downy fur that is most noticeable at the extremities of the body. Currently our Breeding Program is on hold so we can take the time and spend with our Family and New Grandson.
