Children's Community Center is a state licensed, non-profit preschool/child care facility governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of parents and representatives from the community. It was founded in 1975. In 1992 a specifically designed building was constructed on five acres of land in a quiet residential area of Menomonee Falls. It has three play yards each designed for its particular age group - infants, toddlers, or pre-schoolers. A two acre nature center with all plantings indigenous to Wisconsin - trees, bushes, and flowers - is now in progress.
The staff at CCC believes that children need to experience free play activities both indoors and out. "Our children get a lot of pleasure out of the play yards and we look forward to developing and enjoying the nature center when it is complete."
For the past three years - 1998, 1999, and 2000 - CCC was voted "Best of the Burbs" by participants of the CNI community newspaper survey.
"Motivated by our desire to help all children achieve their maximum, we will provide a safe, secure, nurturing, stimulating and developmentally appropriate environment that is responsive to cultural and ethnic diversity."
