![]() Coach Tony Bussan has guided the program since 1989. In that time the Lynx have become one of the top cross country programs in the state. In addition to the accomplishments listed in the history page the Lynx boys and girls squads have numerous conference runner-up finishes. A large number of Lynx atheletes have been named to the NCC All-Conference Squad. Coach Bussan has been honored by the Iowa Track Coaches Association 4 times as regional coach of the year; as a girls coach in 1991, 1992, & 2004 and as boys coach in 1997. A runner himself, coach Bussan participated in track and cross country at Marshalltown High School where he was a member of the 1974 state championship squad in cross country. A graduate of the University of Iowa coach Bussan continues to run workouts with the team, road races, and has completed a marathon. ![]() Coach Moenck came to the Webster City Cross Country program as an assistant when his sons started running for Coach Bussan. He has been with the Webster City Schools since 1976 teaching grades 5th, 6th, and 7th. He is married to Linda, a 2nd grade teacher. He has four children: Ryan(99), Nathan(00), Heath(04), and Heidi(04). All four have been on the cross country team. While in college Coach Moenck lettered in track at Buena Vista and he continues to run in several road races every year. ![]() Coach Lambert came to the cross country team during the 2000 season from Minnesota. Before living in Minnesota he coached cross country at Decorah. All of his kids have been active in track, Joe Jr. for Luther College, Abe(02) and Ben(09) in cross country and track for Webster City, Sam(05) thrower in track, and Tia ran track. Coach Lambert has competed in other marathons in the past. |
