    pretty, pretty

Cats Are Us is a non-profit, all volunteer rescue and adoption agency. We are a no-kill shelter, presently housing approximately 170 cats and 13 dogs. Since inception in December of 1997, we have rescued over 1,000 animals. We rely totally on donations and volunteers to keep our animals happy and healthy. Our phone number is 931-503-0053. Adoption hours are Monday thru Saturday, 10am to 12pm and evenings by appointment. Donations of food, kitty litter, newspapers, cleaning supplies and toys are very much welcome. If you are from out of the area and would like to send a donation, we are located at 119 Providence Blvd. Clarksville, TN 37042. We are recognized as 501(c)(3) by the IRS, so your contributions are tax deductible. Our precious animals are spayed or neutered and given their first round of shots prior to adoption. Please stop by and visit! You'll probably leave with a new member of the family!

    THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
If just for one day, consider saving the life of a living creature that you may not think twice about: a farm animal slaughtered for food. Many people innocently do not realize the torture and suffering that most of these animals endure in their short lives. Unfortunately, in today's society the use of animals for food and by-products is a contribution to animal abuse. If just for one day, experiment with vegetarianism or veganism. It is a healthy, compassionate way to live your life. For more information and a free vegetarian starter kit, visit the website goveg.com
