Cathead's Goose Creek Symphony Page
This Page Is Dedicated To The Greatest Band To Ever Grace The Stage........Goose Creek Symphony!!
I am what you would call a total "Goosehead". Now, let me tell you what I mean by that. A Goosehead is a feller or gal that is a pure nut over Goose Creek Symphony. Their music takes us plumb to another state of mind where life is simple, sweet, pure, and true. From the top of the mountain to the bend in the river to that little cabin nestled in the pines symphony music is ringin' in the holler. It's a soul stirring experience, but save your money 'cause you won't find it on maps they make and you can't buy it on time. Just listen to The Goose........they'll take you there!

The new McDowell County Project is finally finished! There are 11 original songs all about McDowell County on the CD including Muddy Water and The River Ran Black. My 3 daughters, Becki Burks, Jessi Shumate, and Stacy Grubb are featured on the CD with special guest musicians Charlie Davis and Nathan Lawson. I am very excited about this new CD project and it's dear to my heart, because it's about McDowell County....the county I love and call home.
