...a tribute to my terrier mix friend of 2 1/2 years...
Greta came into our lives in September of 1999 when I met her at a pet adoption in Duluth. She was in a cage, crying to get out. Once they let her out, she came right into my lap and sat there, waiting for me to take her home. So, I did! And the rest is history.
Greta lived on the streets for a long time before she came to me -- her previous owners lived in an apartment complex and abandoned her there. So, she was very timid and frightened at first....but, once she became comfortable living with me, she ruled the house. She thought she was a much bigger dog than her 25 pounds and wouldn't back down, no matter how big or ferocious the other dog was.
However, underneath her grumpiness, Greta was a super loving, loyal dog. I would always see her little face waiting at the window when I came home -- no matter what time of day or night. I will miss her always!
If you have any Greta pictures that you can email me, please do. I would love to add more pictures to the website.
