| Such a transient thing - a sunset - ephemeral and yet so memorable. Transforming the everday world into rose hued twilight, before darkness finally swoops down, with the gentle softness of a bird on the wing..... |

| The photo above was taken on Sunday, November 5th, 2006, as we travelled on a ferry across the Solent toward Southampton. The coast and the rolling hills that can be seen in the distance are of the Isle of Wight. The sunset was breathtakingly beautiful and achingly memorable. In fact the previous several days had also provided amazing sunsets - the perfect blend of cloud, location and light had conspired to give us some of the most "photographic" moments we've ever experienced. To view them you can simply click Next at the foot of each photo, to get the rolling sequence - or you can use the index below (which will also help with some background information). Please note that all the photos are exactly as taken. There has been no enhancement or alteration to any of the photos - no use of photoshop or corel - just nature in all its stunning magnificence.. |
