| The Beaumont Police Department sponsors Law Enforcement Explorer Post 730. This is an affiliation of the Boy Scouts. Youth between the ages of 14 and 21 may participate. Participants learn about Law Enforcement from Police Officers. They are taught proper techniques in Building Searches, Traffic Stops, Accident Investigations and other situations. They also learn about Crime Prevention. The Explorers participate in a Ride-Along program where they are allowed to ride with an Police Officer to see actual Police duties. In the past, Beaumont's Explorers have participated in several competitions throughout the state and the nation. The Beaumont Police Department Law Enforcement Explorer Post 730 has been in existence since 1986. The Beaumont Police Department Law Enforcement Explorer Post 730 meets every Thursday at 6:30 PM at the Beaumont Police Department. Beaumont, TX 77704. 832-1234.
