pack for Outlaws. Also included in the zip
are weapon patches for the game. They are
in the subdirectory "weapons".
To use this zip file, you need to extract the files in it directly into your outlaws main
directory. Once you have, there will be a
new subdirectory in your outlaws main
directory called "weapons". If you want to
use the weapon patches, just copy all of the
contents of the subdirectory "weapons" right
into your outlaws main directory.
The Weapon patches are:
IJPISTOL.ITM
IJRIFLE.ITM
IJSAWGUN.ITM
IBRIFLE.NWX
What kind of patches? The ijrifle.itm and
ijpistol.itm are improved for "Good" mode;
it makes the rifle and pistol more powerful:
like in "Ugly".
The second patch is just for fun. It is
Davy Crockett's rifle. It is VERY powerful,
but makes a loud noise and has no scope. It
is also a single shot; so this makes up(in a
way) for the power of it.
If you are going to play Multiplayer, you must take all of the weapon patches (not sounds) into another directory. If you don't, the game will crash. You see, the weapon patches were meant for Single-player only.
I think that Lucasarts' rifle sound
is great, but sometimes its nice to just give it a twist..

John Wayne rifle patch (Wayne.zip)
mode; now I've beaten Outlaws on "Ugly" mode. These HUGE tips will greatly aid any "Ugly" beater wannabe to beat Outlaws in "Ugly" (or any other mode for that matter). Here are the tips I discovered:
1. Save often- especially when you are scared!! before going around and shooting that many guys- save. There might be a well-hidden dude waiting for you to walk by.
2. Before walking into a room, or opening a door, CROUCH down!!! I can't begin to tell you how impotant this is. Although it makes you run slower, it also makes you a much smaller target; so it is ideal for
close quarters. Just be especially on your toes if there is a double-pistol or shotgun-carrying outlaw.
3. This tip, although maybe slightly less important, is to make good use of the variety of weapons available. For me this was using the double-barrel shotgun as much as I used the pistol. It helps a lot to know your weapons. Use whatever weapon you feel you should use at the time.
