Meet CKC CH. Ha'Aretz Gimel Northern Confidence "Cybelle"
On May 21, 2006, "Cybelle" at 8 months old made Canadian history as the first Canaan Dog in Canada to take a Group placement. Under Canadian Judge Phyllis Wolfish, and beautifully handled by Ward Bailey, Cybelle won fourth in the Working Group - there were 12 breeds that day representing the group.
Along with enjoying the title of ambassadress for the breed in the Great White North, Cybelle is also pursuing herding and rally-obedience. She is affectionately known by fellow herders as the "little black pistol","the Border Collie in Canaan clothes", and by her owners as the "girl of a thousand adventures". She is a dog who loves to be the centre of attention and has a definite zest for life.
On October 7, 2006, Cybelle again made Canadian history as the first Canaan bitch to earn a CKC Championship. Throughout her early show career, she earned Best Puppy in Working Group, a Group Third, and two Group fourths.
