The Cambridge Model Aero Club (CMAC)  of  New Zealand is a local club formed to foster and bring together people interested in the building and flying of all manner of model aircraft. The club was originally formed in the late 1930's and after disbanding for the duration of the Second World War was reformed in 1950 and has been operating ever since.

The Club is affiliated to the national association - New Zealand Model Aeronautical Association (NZMAA) which in turn is affiliated with the Royal New Zealand Aero Club and the F A I in France which controls all international aviation sports.

The club has a current membership of approximately 35. We welcome people of any age who have an interest in model aircraft - age or sex is no barrier to joining or getting enjoyment from this sport or hobby.

There are numerous other clubs in the upper North Island area and CMAC members are always welcome to visit and join in with these clubs to enjoy the friendship and camaraderie that comes from such events.
