California Cruising Clippers
The California Cruising Clippers originated in 1974.  The Club charter membership started with 17 boats and families.  At first,  the club was exclusively trailerable Clippers 26s.  Then,  over the years,  the members "traded up" to other brands of larger vessels until the majority grew to over 34 feet. The last Clipper faded from the scene  when Retired Commodore Al Gant sold his beautiful 30 foot clipper named  "Picasso".
A milestone was reached in 1984 when the
California Cruising Clippers were officially recognized by the Pacific Inter-Club Yacht Association (PICYA).  The club continues as an active member of the PICYA sending delegates to their monthly meetings throughout the region.
     The
California Cruising Clippers membership have grown to over 60 members with various size boats. The club hosts a meeting on the second Friday of each month, except July, August and December, and participates in monthly cruises throughout the San Francisco Bay.
