What is a Thought Criminal? The term is taken from George Orwell's dystopian novel about a totalitarian state, "1984." In "1984," any person who exhibits independent thought, departing from the orthodox ideology of the state is a "Thought Criminal" -- an enemy of the people. A Thought Criminal is a dissident, a freethinker, anyone who questions, challenges, or rejects authority.
This website is a collection of my writings, including political essays, atheist satire of Christian mythology, hiking trip reports, and personal information. Any American should find something to be offended by here, and some human beings might be offended as well.

NOTE June 1, 2009. Geocities will be closing this summer and deleting all websites on its system, including this one. I may set up a new website to replace this one. I am thinking of eliminating all of the personal content, leaving out the hiking and mountaineering trip reports, ditching the "Thought Criminal" theme, and creating a new, purely political website with a "Wake Up, America!" theme.
