87 Monte Carlo SS
History:

I've always like the way the 4th Generation Monte Carlo SS looked and have wanted one since early childhood.  A little over two years ago I found this 87 Monte Carlo SS after looking for almost 1 1/2 years.  I was looking for a somewhat low mileage car that was clean, no body rust, straight body, good paint, good interior, and a strong running engine.  I found this one about 30 miles from my house in the newspaper and went down to see it.  As soon as I saw it I knew this was the car I had to have.  The car was straight but the paint wasn't in very good shape on the hood and roof.  And the guy who owned it smoked but I wasn't very concerned because I was planning on getting new interior anyway.  Overall the car was in decent shape with a few minor things wrong.  The guy wanted $6,000 for it but I talked him down to $5,000.  The picture above was taken a few months after I had bought the car and cleaned it up.

Current Work
Currently I'm in the process of swaping parts from the L69 to the Vortec Crate Motor. I decided to refinish all the brakets and clean up all the sensors, so the swap is going slow right now but i hope to have it running soon enough.
