You have stumbled onto something unique, for herein lie the collective memories in word and image left by the two hundred or more people who excavated at the site of ancient Halieis, Greece, between 1962 and 1980.

The Halieis website will move later this year. Yahoo!, in its infinite wisdom, has decided to shut down Geocities, where we have been hosted all along.

Check back from time to time, and when a new hosting service has been selected, we will post the new internet address.

Who knows? There might even be a proper Halieis domain name.

First Two Halieis Volumes Appear!
Vol. 1, The Fortifications and Adjacent Structures, by Marian Holland McAllister, has been published and can be ordered from the Indiana University Press. Vol. 2, The Houses, by Bradley A. Ault, has also been published and can be ordered directly from the IU press.

A third volume, as yet untitled, is slated to appear sometime soon (we hope).
