About the British Bodypainting Association.

The British Bodypainting Association is a new idea. There are some amazingly talented Bodypainters in Britain, all from different backgrounds who approach thier work from different angles; Fine Artists, Facepainters, Tattoo Artists, Choreographers, Make-Up Artists, Hair Stylists to name a few. Our aim is to unite British Bodypainters, and to help them to share ideas and collaborate.

The Association's provisional aims are:

  • To Unite Bodypainters across Britain.
  • To encourage our members to create inspired and imaginative work.
  • To encourage links with models, photographers and other collaborators.
  • To celebrate and encourage both professional and amateur bodypainter's work.
  • To create a draft of working practices which members will follow.
  • To raise the members profile within the industry.
  • To inform and encourage our members to work safely and responsibly.
  • To encourage and promote training and development of our member's skills.
  • To enable our members to network and become part of a lively British Bodypainting community.
  • To affiliate itself to other relevant associations in order to further the advancement of its members.
  • To be non-political and nationwide.

We also want to encourage newcomers to the art-form, enthusiasts, models who want to be painted, and photographers and film makers who want to work with bodypainting.
