My site is dedicated to showing that anyone, even brain injury survivors, can design and build their own home on the web. For those who need a little help, I design and build websites for a reasonable fee. For my fellow survivors, my help with building their own web pages is free of charge.
I particularly enjoy working with the graphics element of website construction. This site began as homework for a class I was taking through Zdnet University, later known as Smart Planet.
The background is the very first seamless tile I made with
Paint Shop Pro, a very user friendly image editing program.

I love taking pictures, especially with my digital camera. No wasted film and I can print only the best shots. I use it for taking pictures of all kinds of ojects or scenes to make backgrounds, tubes, and textures, as well as recording memories with my family.

Conquering the Darkness:
One Woman's Story of Recovering
from a Brain Injury
by Deborah A. Quinn

One of the few things I learned from my doctors was that many brain injury survivors acquire Attention Deficit Disorder. We have a lot in common with ADD adults. This book is filled with
helpful ideas and workarounds for reorganizing your life.
Brain Injury Email Support Groups
If you are a brain injury surviver, know someone who is or are a caregiver for a stroke victim or brain injury survivor, then these support groups are for you. It took me years to learn all the information that is regularly shared in these groups. Join with others who do know exactly what you are going through.

Additional Book Recommendations

"I Can Remember,"
written by Gerry Olin Greengrass for her father who was himself a stroke survivor. This daily journal is helpful in the early stages of recovery. By writing daily activities in this workbook, you can keep track of your progress, as well as regain your memory, reading, and writing skills.
Dr. Diane Roberts Stoler has also written a book based upon her own experiences and research on brain injury. She knows probably better than anyone that *mild* brain injury does not in any way mean "minor."
