The Rabbitry
The Arrangement
Bree's Rabbit Habbit has two portions. The "Bunny Barn" as we have adapted to say. And the Tarp Tent. The "Bunny Barn" is a small area in our garage that my dad separated with a wall for me. I currently have 20 holes in there. The tarp tent is well a tent that I put up for my meat pens (or cages with no trays) and my larger buns. I have 10 holes out there.
Cleaning
I clean trays every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, I clean mainly to prevent smell, but to keep the flies down also. The tarp tent is cleaned every month, I just scoop the manure into bags and sell it.
Every 6 months or so I take all cages out to Burn the hair off the cages and Bleach them off. I also clean dishes and water bottles.
Feeding
I feed 17% Faus pellets everyday. The fuzzies get 1/2 cup, the lionheads get 1/3 cup and the Dwarfs get 1/4 cup. I free Feed my French lops and Flemish Giants. Every sunday the rabbits get some kind of veggie, and Cob. Hay is given Daily, as is water of course.
Grooming/Care
Every 6 months I do a Mite/Coccidiosis treatment to keep Worms, mites, coccidiosis, and other parasites in check. I also monitor behavior in my animals. I groom my rabbits when needed. mainly the longer haired breeds need the grooming. I clip nails once a month to keep the buns from hurting themselves.
