"The real breeder disciplines himself not to expect gratitude or appreciation for his services-- which is well, because those who benefit most will rarely give public recognition to the fact. The real breeder does what he does because of what he is; he can not do otherwise." Peggy Adamson
Already breeding? Read: Planning for the Future of Your Cats
I highly recommend the book "Breeding Purebred Cats" by the author Anne S. Moore. This book is easy to read and is written specifically for the novice and small cat breeder. You should be able to find it in one of the major on-line bookstores, or from a focused source like the Dog and Cat Book Catalog. You can also click on the underlined book title to order it from the CFA website. Another book I recommend is "Breeding Cats ... A Practical Guide" by Truda M. Strade. You can order this book from The Orion Society (proceeds benefit FIP research).
In light of the fact that there are so many people in the world who write better than I do :-) this page presents a number of links to outside pages, as well as my own pages. This allows you to go out and get good, solid, worthwhile information from a variety of viewpoints, and not just mine.
Press CTRL-D or use your menubar to Bookmark this page. I wouldn't put any links here that weren't worth the visit! Trust me!
Update: Due to the growing number of health links, both contagious and genetic health issues have been moved to a New Page. Click to go to the Health section.
