Sarah White freelance writer, editor
Welcome to my ever-evolving Web site! I hope this will become a place for writers to find good information on their craft as well as a place for me to showcase my work. I am a freelance writer and editor as well as working at a small publishing house as an editor and project manager, but I really feel my calling is helping other writers to make their words the best they can be.

National Novel Writing Month has come and almost gone, and I am happy to annouce for the fourth year in a row I am a "winner," having completed my just over 50,000 word story,  A Cage Called Home, completely during the month of November. To find out more about Nanowrimo, as it is affectionately known, check out this article I wrote after last year's challenge, published in the always-wonderful Writers Weekly ezine.
News flash: My new column on books and publishing is now appearing weekly at pretty witty. And I will soon have a monthly column on the best of writing Web sites. Stay tuned.

I am also happy to announce the publication of my new ebook: "Doing the Write Thing: The Easy Way to Self Edit," published by Rob Parnell. Check it out
here.
I'm really excited about this book and hope that it will help a lot of people.

What else am I up to? Well, I've got about a million ideas for articles I just need to sit down and write, as well as a couple of nonfiction book projects I'd like to get done in the near term. I think my new motto may be "no more new projects!" At least then I will have to finish something, right?

I've also been getting back into craftin g lately for the first time in a long time. There's something about that first cold snap in the fall that just makes you want to knit, isn't there? I also like to make candles, make jewlery and sew.My wonderful husband got me a new sewing machine for my birthday which I have barely used. Must remedy this foul situation. Look for tons of links for crafters, too, when I get the time to complie them. Maybe I'll even post some of my projects.
This site is seriously under construction! Please check back often.
