Bob P.'s Page

Well, folks, this is my first attempt at a Web page. I'll have to learn HTML and all that. I hope to include something about my interests, which are pretty varied:

Music: (hence the "Bourbon Street" URL)
I play the violin (classical) and piano (all kinds of things)
I have been known to compose music - perhaps I'll post MIDI files of some compositions eventually
I have been studying ragtime, stride, novelty piano, and all sorts of early jazz piano styles for something like 25 years now (egad!)
Mountains: I have been engaged in mountaineering related activities since grad school (that is, since about 1983). I'm using this in the most general possible sense, to include such activities as
Hiking in the mountains, deserts, and even in the city
Peak-bagging
Technical rock climbing
Skiing (both alpine and nordic)
So, this page will eventually have links to things that relate to all of this. For the moment, the following list o' links will give you some idea of these interests!
