On the hospital roof, everyone is shocked that Bo has killed Lexie. Craig shows up, and pronounces Lexie dead. Abe is furious with Bo for taking the law into his own hands. When the men come to take Lexie away, Abe refuses to allow her to be touched, and he says he needs more time with her. Abe holds Lexie and tells her how he feels about her.
Meanwhile, Jack and Jen arrive and the ER is a mess of people. Shawn and Belle also show up, and they want to know what is going on. Roman tells Shawn that something has happened. Celeste shows up and asks what has happened? Roman explains about Lexie’s escape, and that Lexie is dead. Celeste can’t believe this, and Shawn asks if his father did this. Roman says yes, Bo chocked Lexie to death. Shawn thinks Lexie deserved it, and wants to see his dad. Bo is brought in by Shane, and he is arrested. Lexie’s body is also wheel in, and Abe comforts Celeste. Jen runs off, and Jack chases after her. Suddenly, Celeste lashes out at Bo as he is telling Shawn that what he did was wrong. Abe holds Celeste back, and she collapses in his arms. Bo asks Shawn to go be with Zack, he has to be his brother and his father now. Bo is taken away, and Shawn is left devastated. Shawn and Belle plow through the reporters as they leave the hospital. Meanwhile, Bo is taken to jail where he is booked for Lexie’s murder.
Jen and Jack head back to the Spectator, and Jen asks Jack to write the story because she can’t. Jennifer says she needs air, and leaves. Jack wonders what is up with Jennifer.
Sami and Brandon arrive at the “Star Crossed Lovers” suite. He is intrigued by her choice, and she says she thought it was perfect for them. He thinks it was perfect for her and Austin, but the two of them are meant to be. He promises her than no one will keep them apart. Sami asks, even Lexie? Brandon says he and Lexie are just friends, and his attraction to Lexie ended long ago. Sami still can’t help but wonder if anything more happened between him and Lexie. Brandon accuses her of making up problems because she is so used to things going wrong for her. He tells her that he has loved her since the day they met, and they were meant to be. The clothes come off, and Sami and Brandon get down to business. Brandon and Sami make love for the first time. Afterwards they hold one another in bed, and Brandon gives Sami a surprise. It is a bracelet of Sami’s which he had their initials engraved inside of.
Marlena and John arrive at the DiMera compound; it looks like a mansion with a gate around it. However, the gate is booby-trapped with a thousand volts! They manage to get inside and begin searching around. Marlena sees a painting of the sea and suddenly becomes hypnotized. Meanwhile, John snoops around and finds the phoenix carved onto the wall behind a panel. John says this confirms it, this is DiMera’s compound. John thinks someone is here, that person knows that they are here, and that they want them here, so he turns on the lights. Suddenly, Marlena falls through a trap door! John grabs her and struggles with her, but saves her. He jokes that she is falling for him, but says this is why he didn’t want her to come. She says she has to be here, she must know what Tony has to do with her, and what her past holds. John asks Marlena to stay where she is while he finds something to cover the whole. He looks around, and Marlena looks at the painting again. John fixes the floor, and wonders why Marlena likes the painting so much? John looks at the library shelf, and finds books on genetic engineering. Meanwhile, Marlena picks up a seashell and begins hearing the call of the ocean in it, the same sound she has been hearing when she goes into her trances. Marlena ends up walking off in a trance, and John finally realizes she is gone!
On the plane, the turbulence continues, and the pilot announces that they will soon be landing in Denver due to a nasty storm. Once they land, Brady and Chloe rent a car and end up searching for a hotel. They end up taking a wrong turn, and get lost in the mountains outside of Denver. Suddenly, they hit something, and it damages the car and results in them being stranded. Brady thinks they will have to wait for someone to rescue them, but the temperature begins dropping, and Chloe begins getting the chills.
At Dot.Com, Jennifer runs into Collin, who says he is sorry about everything that has happened. She asks him if he really is sorry? He says he is, and he says even though he is Tony’s doctor, he was not involved in any of this, and he is about healing, not hurting. Jen says she is sorry, and he says he just wants to be here for her. Jen says this whole thing has been a nightmare, and she can’t even think straight anymore. She says not only is Billie clinging to life, and Hope is gone, but they could lose Bo to the death penalty soon!
Also at Dot.Com, Kate and Lucas show up for a bite to eat, and Nancy and Craig see them. Nancy wants to talk to Kate, but Craig says no. He says their problems are nothing like the problems Kate is having. Suddenly, Craig spots Sykes in Dot.com, and tells Nancy on second thought she should talk to Kate. Nancy goes over to console Kate, and as she does, Craig watches Sykes. Collin sees Craig and wants to know why he has been assigned to clinic work. Craig says the doctor at the clinic is out this week and he thought Collin would make a good replacement. Collin wishes he had been in the ER when everything was going down because he might have been able to help. Craig refuses to talk about this with Collin, and leaves when Sykes takes off. Jen also has to get to work and tells Collin goodbye, but thank you. After she leaves, Collin says he hopes Cousin Bo will end up behind bars for a very very long time.
Out on the road, Craig follows Sykes, who becomes reckless, and ends up blowing a flat. Sykes runs into the woods, and Craig follows. Suddenly, Sykes ends up snared in an animal trap. He begs Craig to help him, and Craig just walks away!
In their hotel suite, Brandon and Sami wake up in one another’s arms. They promise that no one will ever keep them apart again. After making love again, Brandon orders them some room service. Breakfast is served, and the paper comes with it. When Sami sees the headline about Lexie’s death, she hides it from Brandon. Brandon, however, finds it and decides to go right back to Salem, which upsets Sami.
At Dot.Com, Belle and Phillip are with Shawn. Shawn says Zack is crying for his mom and dad, but he doesn’t know what to tell him. One of the waiters asks Phillip about his sister, and he says it doesn’t look good. Phillip says the family has to decide whether or not to take her off life support. Later, Jack and Jen show up to pick Shawn up and take him to his dad’s arraignment. They leave, and Belle and Phillip remain behind. Belle tells her that they have to believe things will work out for Shawn as well as his sister.
Caroline, Roman, and Mickey show up at the jail to meet with Bo. Mickey says the arraignment is today, and that doesn’t leave them much time to prepare. Bo says he is going to plead guilty. Caroline tells Bo that he must fight, but Bo says without Hope he has nothing. Caroline tells him to think about Shawn and Zack, he can’t let them grow up without a mother and a father.
At the courthouse, Abe and Celeste are mobbed by reporters. Cameron asks if they could reach Count DiMera, but they say no. Cameron promises that justice will be served, but Abe says the woman he loves is dead, there is no justice. Bo is brought in, and he is charged with first degree murder in Lexie’s death. Bo is asked how he pleads, and he says not guilty. Carson Palmer and Mickey make their cases for why Bo should be given or denied bail. Abe ends up standing up and says that Bo can’t be set free! The judge makes his decision, and demands Bo be held without bail. Shawn flips out, and is ordered to be taken out of the courtroom. Bo says goodbye to Shawn, and he asks him to take care of his little brother.
In her prison, Larry brings Hope some coffee and a copy of the Spectator. Hope reads the headlines and learns Lexie has been murdered by Bo! Hope worries about her children, and attacks Larry when he says they’ll probably end up in foster care. He tells her to keep reading, and she reads about Billie’s shooting. He asks why he shot her, and he says she has been his partner in this for over a year, but she started to turn, so he had to take care of her before she talked. Larry’s not done taunting Hope yet, he shows her another article on her death! He tells her that nobody is going to come looking for her! Larry tells Hope that it is time to go, and she tries to make a run for it. They end up wrestling, and Larry finds the message Hope left for someone to find. Larry forces Hope to scratch out her message.
In the woods, Craig returns to help Sykes free himself from the animal trap he has been caught in, and he tends his wounds. Craig says he should let him die for what he did to his wife. Sykes asks what he did? Craig says he raped her! Sykes says he would never do such a horrible thing to a woman, so Craig asks him if he remembers Nancy Miller? Sykes says that was a mistake, he was drunk and depressed. Craig tells him not to make excuses, and Sykes says he isn’t. Craig says he would have let him die for what he did to his wife if it wasn’t for his step-daughter. He asks what she has to do with this? Craig says she has Leukemia, and he is her father. Sykes tells Craig that it is impossible for him to be the father of that girl.
At the University, Cassie and Rex work on computers as Rolfe watches. However, they are distracted because they can’t help but worry about Shawn after reading the latest headlines in the newspaper. Rolfe pulls out a remote and turns it, thinking their internal programming should take effect and force them to concentrate on their studies and ignore their feelings for Shawn and Belle. However, it doesn’t work! Cassie and Rex refuse to do anymore school work and run off to be with Shawn and Belle. Rolfe is furious and says the twins are too attached to the children of Stefano’s enemies.
At the pub, Belle is comforting Shawn when the twins show up. They are there to lend their support to Shawn as well, but it is apparent that Belle doesn’t like how close Cassie is trying to get to Shawn. She eventually gets them to leave, and she and Shawn leave to check on Zack.
On DiMera Island, Marlena tries to show John a painting of herself, but it turns out she was just seeing things. As John looks for the lights, Marlena triggers another secret passage and once again disappears. She follows the passage to a room with a bed, some medical supplies, and a dresser. She also finds the painting of herself! She wonders who painted it. She then examines the dresser, and pricks herself on a pin cushion. She hears herself being commanded to sleep, but fights the command. She opens the dresser and finds a nightgown as well as a note. She is shocked by what the note has to say.
Meanwhile, John finds Marlena has gone missing again, and Tony has shown up. John demands to know what Tony has done with Marlena. Tony says he can’t help him if he has once again lost his wife. John demands to know what he is doing here, and Tony says he is just here surveying some of the properties he was left by his father. Tony and John end up struggling, and Tony falls into the trap door Marlena fell into earlier. Tony begs John to help him, but when John asks where Marlena is and Tony says he doesn’t know, John tells him “oh well!” John walks off and leaves Tony hanging!
At the cabin, Brady and Chloe sit in front of the fire and think about the day they spent together. Brady tells her that she hasn’t seen anything yet! Brady and Chloe get all dressed up for a romantic dinner Brady prepared for them. Everything is perfect, until Brady turns on the radio to try and get some opera music, only to find it blasting country music. Brady then begins to sing the song to Chloe, and it makes her laugh. Brady ends up finding something a little more romantic, a Willie Nelson song. They dance to Willie’ “You were always on my mind.” The night gets late, so they say good night with a kiss. Chloe is going to take the bed, while Brady sleeps on the sofa. Chloe tells Brady that if the sofa is as uncomfortable as it looks, then maybe tomorrow night they should rethink their sleeping arrangements!
In the woods, Sykes tells Craig that there is no way he can be this girl’s father. Craig tells him to do the math! Sykes says he can prove he’s not this girl’s father. Sykes says he had a vasectomy 25 years ago, so there is no way he can be this girl’s father. Craig asks what about his son? Sykes says he is his step-son by his second wife, his first wife didn’t want children and that is why he got the vasectomy. He says he is sorry for what he did to Nancy, but he is a changed man. Sykes sees Craig has a needle and begins to whimper. Craig tells Sykes to shut up because he is not going to hurt him. Craig gives Sykes a shot of antibiotics, and tells him to wait here for him. Sykes asks if he is leaving him here alone? Craig says damn right he is! Sykes asks if he is going to leave him here to die? Craig says he will decide what to do with him once he gets the answers he needs. Sykes asks what answers is he looking for? Craig says he’s going to run some DNA tests to see if he is telling the truth or not! Craig leaves, locking Sykes in the barn he was trapped in.
At the hospital, Roman makes a statement to the press about Billie Reed. Larry is there, in disguise, as Roman announces that Billie’s condition is unchanged. One reporter asks when they will pull the plug, and Phillip yells at him and tells him that he is a bastard! They family says they are waiting for Austin to arrive before they disconnect life support. However, they can’t wait any longer, and Kate finally signs the papers to disconnect Billie from life support.
In her prison, Hope worried about Bo and what will happen to him. She thinks Larry is a monster as is Billie, but she doesn’t think Billie should die for what she did. She says she doesn’t want to see anyone else die. Larry returns later and tells Hope that Billie Reed is brain dead and the family is going to pull the plug. He also says Lexie’s funeral is tomorrow, so the heat is off, the coast is clear, and they are out of here. Hope says wrong, and pulls out a makeshift knife she has fashioned out of wood. Larry pulls his gun on her and forces her to drop her weapon. He tells her that she will never see her family again! He says she’ll never see Shawn graduate from college, and Zack will have no memory of her at all. Hope says he underestimates her husband, he will find a way to save her! Larry says everyone thinks she is dead, and Bo is in jail for Lexie’s murder, so no one will be coming to look for her. Larry says he will enjoy her freedom, and he will make her his in every sense of the word! Hope prays to God to send Bo to help her. Larry uses some duct tape to tape Hope’s hands behind her back, and he tells her that it is time for them to go.
Shane visits Bo in jail to see how he is doing. Bo doesn’t care about himself. He says that he is worried about the kids. Later, Bo senses Hope praying for help, and he asks her to tell him where she is. Later, Roman shows up, and Bo tells roman that Hope needs him, she needs him now! Roman lets Bo out of jail, gives him a gun, and Bo runs for it.
On DiMera Island, Marlena pockets the letter and says she has to get out of this room and find John. Meanwhile, Tony begs John for his life, but John could care less and tells him to fall all the way to hell! Tony screams that he doesn’t know where his wife is, so John leaves him. Tony says fine if he helps him then he will tell him where Marlena is! John says no deal, first he tells him where Marlena is first! Suddenly, Marlena shows up, and MArlena tells John that he must save Tony. Tony slips and falls, but John manages to grab him in time. Tony is furious with John, especially when Marlena says Tony didn’t have him. Marlena tells John that they need to leave here, she is begging him. John says okay, but he tells tony that they will be back. Tony says no they won’t. John leaves, and Tony begins looking around. He uses his phoenix ring to open a secret safe, which contains a box that is opened by the blue key. What is inside pleases Tony. The box holds another box, this one is made of wood with the phoenix carved into it, but he can’t seem to figure out how to open it. He thinks it must hold the secrets to his past, and his future.
On the plane back home, John asks Marlena what is going on, why did she insist they leave? She says something happened and she couldn’t tell him in front of Tony. Shane calls and John tells him what happened. Shane can’t go into all the details, but he says he’ll explain it all when he gets here. John returns to Marlena and asks her what upset her so greatly? Marlena pulls out the letter and tells him that Tony is his brother!
