Brady and Chloe leave the office, and give one another a kiss, which a devastated Phillip sees. Brady and Chloe take off, and Nancy sees Phillip and asks if he has heard the good news. Phillip says what, that Brady has finally stolen Chloe from him! Nancy says no, and she tells him about the bone marrow match, and she tells him to be happy for Chloe. Phillip says he is happy for her. Phillip ends up going to the tree where he carved her initials, and thinks about losing Chloe.
Brady and Chloe go to Brady’s place. They stopped for ice cream on the way, and she ended up getting chocolate sauce all over her. Chloe goes to the bathroom to wash up, and Isabella’s ghost tells Brady that his journey is far from over, so he can’t stop. Chloe puts on some of Brady’s clothes, and then he gives her a gift that he’s been saving for the day she found a donor. Brady gives her a crystal angel similar to the one his mother had. She thanks him, and he says she is the Italian symbol for love and hope. Isabella returns and as she watches them she says that Brady mustn’t give up, he has to find Chloe’s birth father before it is too late. The Hollywood snowglobe that Chloe gave to Brady begins to churn.
In her prison, Hope forces open the view-screen on her door and learns Billie is working with Larry. Billie leaves, wishing this would end, and Larry says it will soon, for her! Larry says the only good cop is a dead cop! Larry goes into see Hope and tells her that she is dead! Hope thinks Larry is going to kill her, but he says that is too good for her. Larry says everyone in Salem thinks she is dead, but Hope says Bo will never believe it. She tells him that he won’t get away with this, but he says he already has! He tells that they are going to be leaving very soon, and heading to her island prison where she will wish she was dead!
At the station, Bo is getting ready to leave, when Cameron Reese hears Bo threaten to choke the truth out of Lexie. She warns him if he goes within ten feet of Lexie they will sue her and the entire police force! Bo says he could care less, and walks out of the room. Roman goes after him and stops him from confronting Lexie. Bo tells Roman to get out of here, but Bo says he needs answers so he doesn’t need to tell Shawn that his mother might be dead. Later, Billie returns and Roman wants answers from her! He knows she and Mark were separated while on patrol, and he wants to know what is going on. Billie says nothing, and she wants to know why he is keeping tabs on her. Roman says he is watching her because she seems determined to be a part of the investigation in Hope’s kidnapping. Billie says she wants to make sure Hope is found, everyone in this department feels that way. Roman says she is off this case, and if she breaks the rules she will be suspended without pay. Billie says she cares about the Brady’s, and she was once part of their family. She says at least they know who did this and that they are behind bars, but Roman asks if they really know that? Roman says the DiMeras are much more clever, and he thinks someone else is involved that they haven’t even considered.
At school, Rex works on a computer in Rolfe’s office while Cassie starts into space. Rolfe asks them why they don’t want to study, and they say they are too busy worrying about Shawn’s mother. Rolfe, aka Putnam, tells them to go be with their friend.
At Bo and Hope’s, Phillip shows up to be with Shawn. Belle is already there. Shawn calls his dad at the station to find out if there is any news. Bo says he is on his way home and will tell him when he gets there. Shawn wonders why he can’t tell him on the phone, and realizes this can’t be good. Phillip decides to leave Belle with Shawn, and on the way out finds the twins trying to talk their way past security. Phillip says it is okay, and they are allowed in to see Shawn. However, they end up in an argument with Shawn when he says LExie has done this, probably with Tony’s help. They say there is no way Count DiMera or his sister had anything to do with this. They defend Tony and LExie, but Shawn says they are linked to Stefano, and he was nothing but evil. Shawn tells the twins that they are cursed because of their association with Stefano, and he says Lexie has already stole his brother before, and he warns them that they could be next on the DiMera’s list! Cassie and Rex say they will always be their friends, they will never turn on them. Belle says that they know that, and Belle shows them out. Belle apologizes for letting the twins in. Later, Bo shows up, and Belle leaves them alone. Shawn knows Bo has heard something about Hope. Bo tells him about the sweater, and the note found at the crematorium along with some ashes. Shawn refuses to believe his mom is dead, and Belle watches Shawn’s reaction and is in tears. Bo tells Shawn what the letter said. Shawn says they have to make Lexie talk. Bo says even though the evidence says yes, he does not believe that Hope is dead. Zack calls out for his mommy, and Bo goes to check on him. Belle goes to comfort Shawn, and she says she has faith that they will find his mother.
The twins go outside and refuse to go back to the mansion or ride in a DiMera car, and they run off. Bart realizes the boss man won’t like this. Rex tells Cassie that Shawn was so angry, and he wonders if the DiMeras could want to use them for evil purposes. Cassie asks if that is possible? Rex says there is one way to find out. Rex and Cassie go to see Rolfe and ask him to help them find out who they are and why they were sent here. They ask him if he can tell them anything about their genetic makeup. Rolfe says there is a way to help them, and he grabs their bracelets.
At the mansion, Tony demands Rolfe tell him everything he knows about Hope’s kidnapping. Rolfe says he knows nothing, and he is sure Lexie is not involved. Rolfe begins talking about how he and the twins only exist to serve him. Tony tells Rolfe that he is not to use the twins for any purposes, and he has a long way to go before he earns his trust. Tony begins talking about how he knows he was responsible for curing him, but he is still having problems. Rolfe says the fuge states are an unexpected side effect. Tony ends up blowing up and says he has much more important things to worry about right now, such as his sister’s future.
At Basic Black, Shane talks with John about his being a spy as Marlena approaches his office! Marlena runs into Kate, and she asks John who he is talking with. Kate doesn’t know, but she has to head out for the day. Meanwhile, John says Marlena doesn’t know he is a spy, and he hates lying to her. He says Marlena is being shaken by this whole investigation, it is stirring up memories. John just hopes between them and the Salem PD that they can find Hope, and he thinks that she could be on one of these islands. Suddenly, Marlena knocks on the door, and finds it is locked! John buzzes her in, and she is happy to see Shane. Shane says he is here to help find Hope. As they talk, Shane receives new evidence indicating that Hope really may be dead. John refuses to believe it because the evidence wants them to think Hope is dead, but a body would be so much more effective if that is what the kidnapper wanted them to believe. He thinks someone else is involved, and someone is trying to get Lexie out of the way because she wouldn’t leave so much evidence lying around. He doesn’t know what Tony would have to gain if Lexie was put away, and he asks Marlena if she thinks Lexie is capable of murder? Marlena says she just can’t be sure. Shane ends up leaving, and Marlena once again tells John that she is coming on the trip with him. John once again tells her no way, and he says he will be home before she knows it. John gives her a kiss and takes off. Marlena, however, has other plans.
Shane heads down to the pier, where Billie is waiting, and Larry is also. Larry is coming towards Billie from one side, and Shane from the other!
At Titan, Nicole comes to see Victor and has something to say. She says knows why he has been avoiding her. Nicole says he knows he saw the man at Tuscany kiss her, and she wants to tell him what really happened. She brings in Toby to tell Victor the story about the Cheatin’ Heart and Nicole thanks him. Nicole shows him out, and says this is obviously another scheme of Sami and Kate’s!
At Dot.com, Sami tells Brandon that she has booked them on another romantic getaway. Brandon tells Sami that he can’t go out of town and leave Lexie. Sami doesn’t know what he can do for Lexie, but it is her aunt Hope who is missing and Lexie is the accused. Brandon says Lexie didn’t do it, and he gets mad at Sami for not trusting his ability to judge someone’s character. He leaves Sami to go see LExie. Later Kate shows up to talk to Sami about the next phase of their plan. Sami says she is going away, which angers Kate. Kate says she will take care of Victor and Nicole on her own, but don’t expect to reap any of the rewards!
Kate takes a walk, and runs into Roman. Roman asks Kate about her secret connection to Stefano, and perhaps she could give them a lead of some sorts to Hope’s whereabouts. Kate says she can’t help him, and then is called by Victor and ordered she come see him. She goes to Titan, where Victor tells her that Lucas’ divorce from Nicole has been finalized, and that her little trick-or-treat surprise has blown up in her face! Nicole warns Kate about her wedding day, because she doesn’t want to know what her wedding present is going to be!
In jail, Celeste comes to see her daughter. Celeste doesn’t understand why Lexie is not listening to her and Abe, people who have loved her for years, and instead is listening to Tony DiMera. She demands Lexie tell her what is going on, what are she and Tony planning? Lexie says if her and Abe love and know her so well, then they should know she is innocent. However, she says because she is a DiMera she has been found guilty. Celeste says she is only half a DiMera, so Lexie says that means she can only count on half of her family! Lexie asks the guard to remove her mother. Celeste knows Lexie is about to do something foolish, and she tells her that she loves her and will grieve for her if she never sees her again. Later, Brandon shows up to see Lexie. They talk, and Lexie tells Brandon that she knows he has fought with Sami about her, she knows Sami thinks she kidnapped her aunt Hope. Lexie doesn’t want to be responsible for his unhappiness as well. Brandon wonders what is going on with her, but she insists nothing is going on. Lexie says she is going to let her brother take care of her from now on, he knows what he is doing. Lexie tells Brandon not to feel guilty, and to go away with Sami. Lexie then asks the guard to show Brandon out, but not before telling him to take care of himself. Later, Tony shows up and tells Lexie that he knows he told her to play ill, but she doesn’t look good. LExie says she is nervous. Tony tells her not to worry because everything is in readiness for her escape. As they talk, Roman shows up and sees them huddling and whispering to one another. Lexie doesn’t look good at all, and Tony holds her.
Brandon returns to Dot.com to talk to Sami, and he tells her that LExie wants him to go away with her. He thinks Lexie wants him out of the way for some reason. Sami tells Brandon that she hates ultimatums, but if he keeps putting Lexie before her then they don’t have a future. Brandon wonders where this is coming from. Sami says she doesn’t like feeling that Lexie is more important to him. Brandon agrees to come away with her. Kate calls Sami to warn her they failed, but she hangs up before Kate can tell her.
At Brady’s place, Craig shows up to speak with Brady. Craig tells Brady that they still need to find Chloe’s father as soon as possible. Brady asks why, has something happened? Craig says there are issues that need to be resolved between Sykes and Nancy. He was hoping Brady would try and find him again, since he was so successful before. Brady says he believes he saw Sykes the other day, right here in Salem. Craig asks why he said nothing before? Brady says he wasn’t sure, but now he is. Before Craig leaves, Brady asks Craig a question about Chloe. We don’t know what he asked, but Craig says it is a good idea. Brady says this means Craig will have to look for Sykes himself. Suddenly, Chloe shows up, and Brady is stunned, as is Craig. Chloe has her old hair back, via hair extensions thanks to Belle and Nancy. She asks Craig why he is here, and he says he and Brady were talking guy stuff. Craig leaves, and Chloe wants to know what is going on. Brady says he has something for her. Brady tells her that he wants to give her Hollywood. He surprises her with a trip, but she says Nancy won’t go for it. Brady says Craig has already given his blessing, so it’s in her hands now. She says yes, and he says he has huge surprises in store for her.
Craig meets back up with Nancy and pampers her. He apologizes for making Belle feel uncomfortable, but she says it is great to see everything work out for them, it gives her hope that things will work out for Shawn.
In jail, Roman and Abe see Tony and Lexie whispering to one another, and they wonder what they are up to. Abe approaches them and tells Lexie that they need to talk, alone. Tony says no way, but Lexie says it is okay. Tony leaves, and Abe says he is here to make her an offer that will save her life. Abe says in exchange for her cooperation and giving up Hope’s body’s location, she will only get life in prison and not the death penalty! Lexie cries that she doesn’t know! Abe tells her that it is over for her, so she should have mercy on people who were once her friends! Lexie tells Abe to just get out! Abe hopes God will help her, because he can’t! Meanwhile, Tony scolds Bo and the rest of the PD for the way they are treating his sister. Victor, who came to check on Bo, suggests he talks to Tony, and they go into an office to try and work things out. Bo leaves to get some air, and Victor tells Tony that the war between their families needs to end. Victor says last time he tried to help his son, Stefano put a hit out on him. He says now Hope is hurt, when is this going to end? Tony says they have no one but themselves to blame! Victor says he can be just as ruthless and deadly as him or his father, so he better play ball. Tony says he will stand by Lexie and see her freed. Victor says he better hope that LExie is sent to jail because if she is freed, she will feel his brand of justice! However, if she cooperates, justice will be merciful! Tony warns Victor to watch his back, whoever put the hit out on him is probably still after him! Back in jail, Bo shows up and throws Lexie against the wall and demands to know what has happened to his wife! Lexie begs for her life as Bo chokes her! One of the guards sounds the alarm , and Roman and Abe run, as does Tony. They pull Bo off of Lexie, and Tony comforts his sister. Abe has Bo arrested for violating the restraining order, and he demands a doctor be brought down for Lexie. Tony promises Lexie that Bo will never hurt her again. Lexie says she can’t take anymore of this. Tony tells her to rest and be ready, everything is set for her escape tonight! Abe ends up un-cuffing Bo, and tells him to calm down. Later, Victor goes to see Bo and says he has some news. Victor says Nico found some things at a pawn shop, and Bo recognizes them as Hope’s watch, locket, and wedding rings. Bo asks where they came from , who brought them in. Victor says the pawn shop owner says the man who brought them in took them from the body of a dead woman. Bo refuses to believe this, but Victor tells him that it is time to face the facts, Hope is dead.
On the pier, Billie waits as Larry and Shane come at her from both sides. Suddenly, someone grabs Billie and drags her off! The man ends up being Shane, and they are both surprised to see one another. Shane says he is here on business, and asks what she is doing here? As they talk, Larry spies on them. Billie says she is here on assignment, and she didn’t know he would be here for the meeting. Shane tells her that she doesn’t have an ISA assignment! Billie is clueless and thinks this is a joke. Shane asks her to tell her everything. Billie says Martin Ross contacted her in Paris awhile back. Shane says he knows who that is. Suddenly, Larry steps on some papers, and Shane pulls out his gun to see what is going on. Shane runs into two fishermen and thinks they were the source of the noise. He continues talking to Billie, who says Martin Ross said Bo needed her help. She was ordered to become a cop and get assigned to the Salem PD to find out if Bo is qualified for the DiMera task force. Ross said that Roman was too close to Bo, and that is why she was brought in. Billie says she was supposed to meet him here tonight. Shane says that won’t happen, Martin Ross is dead and has been for two years! Billie is shocked, and the photo Shane shows her of agent Ross isn’t the man who contacted her. She wonders who contacted her and what they want with Bo? Shane says that is what he wants to know as well. Billie says this man had all the top secret codes, she had no reason not to believe him. Shane wants to take her down to the ISA office to figure this out. Suddenly, shots ring out, and Billie goes down!
John is flying to DiMera Island and is thinking about his past with Marlena, when MArlena reveals to him that she has stowed away! John gives her a kiss, and says they are turning this plane around. Marlena, however, forbids John to do that! Marlena says she has to find out what happened during her years Stefano held her captive, and he can’t deny her that! John knows he can’t. Suddenly, John gets a call from the pilot, and as they talk, Marlena falls into another one of her trances as she sees the photos of the island! Marlena claims she hasn’t had time to eaten and that must be it. John worries about her, and suddenly Shane calls and gives them the news about Hope, which he relays to Marlena. John and Marlena comfort one another over the news of Hope’s death.
Belle takes Shawn to the cabin at the lake to spend some time together, and to help him feel connected to his mom. Shawn, however, feels like there is nothing left to hope for. Belle tries to help Shawn, but he says he needs to be alone right now. He tells her not to worry about him. Before Belle leaves, Bo calls and Shawn is told to head to the pub for a family meeting. Shawn knows what this means.
Jack and Jen are trying to find something on Hope’s situation. Jack tries to keep Jen’s spirits up, but Jen says they have no leads and it doesn’t look good. Jack gets a call, and he tells Jen about the new evidence Victor has found. Jen and Jack go to the pub, and Jen gets a call from Bo to gather the family together. Jen knows Bo is going to announce that Hope is gone. Jack comforts a grieving Jen. Later, Jack gets another call and learns about Billie’s shooting. Jen tells Jack that he should go, she will be fine.
At the station, Victor informs Roman about the jewelry of Hope’s that Nico found, and the story the man told the pawn shop owner. Suddenly, Bo shouts out “No!” Bo flips out and says no one gets away with doing this to his wife! Just then, Shane call in about Billie’s shooting.
At the hospital, Billie is brought in after being shot in the head. Abe, Bo, and Roman show up and Shane gives them the news about Billie. Meanwhile, Craig is Billie’s doctor, and wants a second opinion from a neurologist before they do what is necessary to insure Billie’s organs are donated as she wishes! Craig fears an EEG will reveal that Billie is brain dead. Meanwhile, Bo has to leave to meet the family, and Abe has to go deal with Lexie. Roman realizes he will have to tell Kate about Billie.
Back at the station, Abe goes to see Lexie, and she wonders what he wants now. Abe says this is the last time he is going to visit her. He says he wishes he had seen the signs, but he didn’t, and now they both are paying the price. Lexie tells him that she guesses this is goodbye. After Abe leaves, Lexie faints. Lexie is then taken to the hospital.
Kate is at home at Salem Inn having dinner when Phillip drops by to see his mom. Phillip is down in the dumps about Chloe. Phillip talks to his mom about Chloe’s bone marrow match, and how she now has a second chance, but not with him. He thinks something is wrong with him because he can’t be happy for her. Kate tells him nothing is wrong with him. Phillip wishes he could be less self absorbed like his mother, but she says she has her own problems. Kate says in spite of everything, she can’t seem to connect with Billie. Later, Roman shows up and gives Phillip and Kate the news on Billie, and he drives them to the hospital. Roman takes them there, but can’t stay. He does assure her that they will find out who did this. Shane and Roman then head to the pub.
Back at the pub, the Bradys and Hortons gather and wait for Bo. Bo, Roman, Abe, and Shane all show up, and everyone is happy to see Shane. Bo then makes the announcement to everyone that Hope is gone.
At the pub, the families head off after the earth shattering news Bo has given them. Caroline tells Bo, Roman, and Shane that the family members are trying to hold themselves together. Jack shows up, and Caroline says the pub is closed tonight; Bo wants this to be for family only. Jack says he wants to be with Jennifer, and Bo tells him that it is okay. Jack goes to see Jen, and he asks what is going on. Shawn says his dad told them all to accept that his mom is gone, but he refuses! Shawn refuses to accept that his mom is dead! Belle is there and tries to comfort Shawn. Abe suddenly shows up and says Lexie has collapsed and has been taken to the hospital. Bo feels this is an escape plan and wants to go there, but Abe says he has been put on leave and if he goes near Lexie then he will be arrested! Abe tells Caroline to keep her son here or he will be arrested! Shawn tells Abe that he should be taken off this case for still defending Lexie! Shane, Roman, and Abe leave, and Caroline begs Bo to leave Lexie to the others and deal with Shawn right now. Shawn is mad at his father for still assuring him that Hope was still alive. Bo says he still feels connected to Hope, so Shawn says that must still mean she is alive. Bo says that the connection has changed; he feels that Hope is gone and he feels her spirit. Bo says she is gone and they have to accept it and mourn her. Shawn begins to break down as he tries to accept it, and Belle is there for him. Bo says he’s going to check on Zack, but really he skips out. Suddenly, the Salem Gazette and the Intruder shows up for a scoop. Shawn gives it to them, and says that Hope Brady is dead and the DiMeras killed her! Jack ends up calming Shawn down, and tries to get the reporters to leave. Shawn says he knows they just want the scoop just like he does! Jack tells Shawn to go to town, and Shawn says that his mother was murdered by Lexie DiMera. Shawn chews the reporters up and spits them out.
Meanwhile, Jack is stunned that the whole family has just accepted that Hope is dead. Jen says sometimes you just have to accept what is staring you in the face. Jen ask Jack about Billie. He says she is in critical condition and was not allowed to see her. Jack says that he will be here for her, and they will tell Abby together. Jen says no, they can’t tell Abby just yet. Jen says she also wants to take a leave from the paper to be with her family for this, and she asks Jack to cover for her. Jack wants to get to the hospital and see what is going on with Lexie, but Jen asks him to stay with her right now. Later, Harold calls and tells Jack that Lexie Carver has escaped from the hospital! Suddenly, Caroline runs downstairs and says Bo is gone!
Hope is still in her cell when Larry comes to see her. Larry tells her that he had to take care of a problem, and shows her a gun. Larry says he took care of his problem with this gun. Hope asks him who he killed? Larry says he didn’t kill anyone, but she is barely clinging to life. Hope knows she knows this person, but Larry won’t say who. He says it was someone he thought he could count on, but he made a mistake. Hope knows that it is Billie that he shot. Larry ends up throwing his coat on the floor to wave his gun around, and Hope sees something she wants in it. Larry tells Hope that his problem has been taken care of, and LExie is going down for her murder, so they will go to the island prison waiting for her! Hope ends up fainting, so she wants Larry to believe, on his jacket so he can get to this object. Larry grabs his coat from under her and leaves, and she takes what she stole, a bullet shell, and begins scratching a message on the wall. Larry returns later to taunt Hope some more. She questions him about where they are going, and when he says an island off the maps, she later writes that on the wall.
Lexie is brought into the hospital. She is unconscious, and Celeste is with her. Lexie is guarded by police as she is examined. The orderlies, however, tell Lexie they are on her side and are working to help her escape! Celeste ends up coming to see Lexie, who puts on an act for her mom and nurse Brenda. Once left alone with her orderlies, Lexie makes her escape. Abe, Roman, and Shane show up and find that Lexie has escaped, and another orderly is passed out and in her place! They begin sealing off the hospital and searching for Lexie. Lexie heads to the roof with her allies where a medivac chopper is supposed to pick her up. The cops learn about the chopper, so everyone heads up to the roof. Celeste suddenly has a premonition of danger, and she feels something bad is about to happen. Up on the roof, Bo catches Lexie as she is about to escape. When Abe, Roman, and Shane arrive at the roof, Bo has apparently strangled Lexie to death! Abe falls down over her body and grieves.
