Brady chases after Chloe. Chloe tells Brady that she can’t talk about this, and she doesn’t want him or anyone to suffer because of her. Brady tells Chloe that no one knows what the future holds, and he just wants to live in this moment and share his feelings with her. He asks her to be with him, but she says no and to leave her alone. Brady says that is the one thing he cannot do. Brady tells Chloe that she is right about what she said before, and the last thing she needs from him is pressure. Brady tells her that they need to focus on getting her well. Chloe is touched that Brady would wait for her. Brady says he is still her friend, and he will be here as long as she needs him. Chloe’s cell phone rings, it is Craig, and he tells her that he and her mom will be out late tonight. She asks if everything is okay? Craig says they are fine, they’re at the hospital having the amnio done. Craig says the results won’t be back tonight, so she should just wait at home and they’ll check in on her when they arrive. Brady asks Chloe, after she hangs up, what is going on. Chloe says her life is on the line. Chloe says Craig and Nancy are having the amnio, and she should be with them. Brady wishes he could have done more for Chloe, and he says he’s still working on finding Sykes for her.
At the hospital, Nancy and Craig wait for Dr. Bader to do the amnio. Chloe shows up to be with them. She says she couldn’t let them go through with this without her. Dr. Bader shows up, and Nancy asks Craig and Chloe that she is nervous enough as is, and seeing them is making her feel worse. She asks if they could wait outside, so they do. Nancy makes it through the procedure, and she tells Chloe and Craig now they just have to pray. Later, Nancy gets dressed, and is suddenly hit with abdominal pains. She fears she is losing the baby.
At Hartly House, Shawn is upset and staring out the window as the others try to find a way to help Shawn. Mimi gets an idea, grabs Phillip, and tells him that she needs his help to cheer up Shawn. The twins try to talk to Shawn and make him feel better, and Belle gives him a hug. Later, Mimi and Phillip show up with a game of twister! Mimi thinks it will be fun, and she tells Phillip that they can also use this to crush Cassie and Rex’s crushes. Still, Shawn isn’t cheered up, so they decide to all go for a walk. They end up at Dot.com, where Belle sees Brady and talks to him. She talks to Brady about how bad she feels for Shawn, and how she doesn’t seem to be able to help him. Brady sympathizes; he feels the same way about Chloe. Meanwhile, Mimi flirts with Rex, and he flirts back. At the same time, Cassie begins flirting with Phillip. Shawn ends up seeing a poster of his mom and Zack, and he takes it down. Belle wonders what he is thinking, and it turns out he was just making more copies to hang. Everyone decides to help Shawn hang posters.
Meanwhile, Brady walks around Salem having regrets about not finding Sykes. Elsewhere, Sykes turns up in Salem to get his relocation assignment!
In the secret room in the DiMera mansion, Tony demands Rolfe tell him everything about the twins and the key. Tony wants to know where the twins are from and what their relationship is to his father. Rolfe tells Tony that on the night of the meteor shower, he was flying a plane to try and locate the twins’ satellite and help them arrive in Salem. However, he says a meteor hit the plane, causing it to crash. Rolfe says he barely survived, and he feared the twins were dead and he had let Stefano down. However, Stefano says he has learned the twins are alive, and he has taken a job at Salem University to be near the twins and to perfect them according to his needs. Tony refuses to let Rolfe tinker with two innocent human beings. Tony demands to know what his father planned to do with these twins. Rolfe says they are the phoenix risen from the ashes. Tony asks him if he is saying these twins are his father come back to life in a new form? Rolfe says no, the twins are Stefano’s creation and have come to Salem to fulfill the DiMera legacy. Tony is upset because that is his birthright, and he came to Salem to carry on his father’s legacy. Rolfe says if he plans to do that, then he will need this. Rolfe then pulls out the blue key!
At the DiMera mansion, Rolfe tells Tony that the twins were brought to Salem to fulfill the DiMera legacy. Tony is angry because that is his birthright and that is why he came to Salem. Rolfe tells him he will need this, and produces the Blue Key. Tony asks how he got this key from John Black? Rolfe says he didn’t get it from him, but he would like to know how John got a key. Tony asks a more important question, what does the key do and why does he need it? Rofle says it unlocks the twins’ powers. Tony laughs and asks what their powers are? Rolfe says he should start at the beginning. He says the twins were created at a clinic from anonymous sources, and nobody knows who gave birth to them. He says their DNA is so complicated that they can’t be traced biologically. Tony asks if they are DiMeras? Rolfe says no, and he tells them that they are Stefano’s pawns, and now they belong to him. Rolfe says the twins must be molded from scratch, and unlike John Black, these twins will be loyal and incorruptible! Tony tells Rolfe that he is to do nothing to the twins without his permission, and then asks Rolfe about his own medical problems. Rolfe says he knows nothing about his fuge states, but he can tell him how Marlena is linked to his past and his future. Rolfe says MArlena’s love is what turned John against the DiMeras. Tony realizes that if he takes Marlena away from John, he will be utterly destroyed. Tony asks if Marlena’s helping the twins won’t it affect their allegiance to them? ROlfe says know, he can counteract any damage MArlena does to the twins. Tony tells Rolfe about Marlena’s fuge state while clutching a pillow Stefano gave her, and he wonders what his father was up to. Tony says John stole from him the woman he loved, and she died of a broken heart (um, NO she didn’t die!), and he almost died too. Tony says he will have his revenge on John Black!
At the penthouse, John searches a database for the location of the DiMera island. As Marlena looks at the photos of the island, she once again becomes dizzy. John is puzzled when he can’t find the island in his database. They begin talking about the last time they worked together, and MArlena says she knows he is somehow working with the ISA again and doesn’t want to tell her in order to protect her. Marlena once again goes into a trance as she looks at the photo of the island, and John asks her what is wrong? Marlena says she is fine, but John knows she is not. John thinks this is connected to her past missing years, and he thinks she is connected to the DiMeras and doesn’t remember. Marlena says until now she never wanted or needed to know what happened to her during those years, but now they do need to know for the safety of their family. John holds Marlena and says they will get through this together. John’s database continues to come up with no matches, and then he finally realizes something. John notices the shape of a chain of islands on his laptop screen is the shape of the Gemini constellation, and it matches the pattern on the pillow Stefano gave Marlena! John decides to head there, and Marlena says she wants to go. John refuses to allow her to go with him. Marlena claims to understand, but secretly refuses to allow him to do this without her.
In Salem Place, Abe, Bo, and the cops burst in on Lexie with Zack! Bo demands Lexie give him his son, and he wants to know where his wife is. Bo takes Zack, hands him to Abe, and demands Lexie tell him where Hope is. Lexie says she does n’t know, and she is being framed. Abe calls the station and tells Roman that they have found Zack, but not Hope, and they are bringing LExie in. As they are taking Lexie in, Brandon sees them and tries to comfort Lexie. She insists he come with her, and he follows.
At the station, Roman scolds Billie for not responding to her pages. Suddenly Bo walks in with Zack, Lexie (in cuffs), Abe, and Brandon. Lexie insists she is innocent and says she will even take a lie detector test. Lexie is given her phone call, and Billie takes Zack to get some food. Lexie attempts to call Tony, but nobody at the mansion answers. Lexie once again demands to give her a lie detector test, but Bo says as a former cop, doctor, and a Dimera she will be able to beat one of them. Abe begs Lexie to tell them what she knows. Brandon sticks up for LExie and says he was with Lexie when she found Hope’s wallet, and she did not know how it got there and he was the one who told her not to come forward. Bo warns Lexie that he will take care of her if she has hurt Hope in any way. Abe warns her that she needs a lawyer, so Lexie asks them to call Cameron. Abe warns Lexie that she won’t get away with this. Billie eventually returns with Zack because he keeps calling for his mommy. Bo asks Zack where his mommy is? Brandon works with Zack to try and get him to open up. He asks Zack about his mommy, and Zack says his mommy said she loved him, and that his mommy is sleeping. This worries everyone. Roman tells Bo that Hope is still alive. Bo says he knows that, but Hope wouldn’t leave Zack unless something was wrong with her. Roman takes Zack for a bit, and Bo asks him not to tell Shawn what Zack said about Hope. Lexie is taken to booking, where she is given some prison blues, photographed, fingerprinted, and jailed! Meanwhile, Billie sneaks away and calls Larry to give him an update, but is caught by Roman! She has to fake like she was talking to someone else and hangs up.
Tony is brought in for questioning and implores Abe/Bo to step back and look at this objectively: the crime is too neat for Lexie to have committed it. Bo considers it while Lexie becomes agitated as Cameron questions her like she's guilty and Celeste admits that she thinks Lexie's responsible for the kidnappings. Abe can't charge Tony with anything and allows him to see Lexie; he tells her that he wants to help her escape. Meanwhile, Roman finds Billie scouring a dumpster for clues; after he leaves, she finds a lead! Roman returns to the station and takes Bo to the hospital to see Zack; Shawn is there with Belle and she witnesses the reunion between father and sons. Billie comes back to the station with a sweater identical to the one Hope had when she disappeared, but it has a bloodstain on it. Abe calls Bo and Roman back to the station and Bo's hit hard when he recognizes it as Hope's...
Hope regains consciousness after being knocked out by Larry. He lets her listen to a radio broadcast about Lexie being captured for Zack's kidnapping; Hope is relieved to learn that Zack is safe and dumbfounded when Larry reveals how well he's set Lexie up. Larry demands Hope write a good-bye letter, implicating that Lexie plans to kill her and take off with Zack. This way, the search will end for Hope and she'll be Larry's prisoner forever. Hope refuses at first, but is swayed when Larry threatens Shawn's life. He begins to dictate the letter, but Hope convinces him to let her write it in her own words. He agrees and checks the letter for any hidden messages once she's finished. Satisfied that it's clean, Larry leaves to plant the letter, and Hope has a huge Cheshire cat grin on her face...
At the police station, Bo is waiting for the test results to the bloodstain on Hope's sweater when John and Marlena drop by. They soon learn from Roman that the stain is Hope's blood type. Bo says Hope's blood type is common, it might not be her blood. Roman also reveals that there were hairs found belonging to two different people. Abe hears about the test results and suspects that the hair found was Lexie's, so he ddecides to ask her for a DNA sample.
Abe interviews Brandon, and grills him on exactly how Hope's wallet and itinerary were found. Brandon claims LExie is guilty, which doesn't seem to shock Abe. Brandon says he was kidding, he only said that because he knew Abe has been thinking it all along.
Meanwhile, Lexie meets with Tont and tells Tony that she doesn't want him to break her out of jail because she would rather be proven innocent. However, Tony doesn't see that happening because of the evidence that had been planted against her. He tells her about Hope's sweater, and she becomes upset. She says Hope can't be dead, Zack can't lose his mommy. Abe comes to see Lexie and tells her about the hairs on the sweater. LExie knows what he wants, and she is willing to give him DNA in order to prove her innocence.
Meanwhile, Brandon is let go because they can't charge him as an accessory; on his way out, he overhears Bo, John and Marlena discussing the test results and begins to argue Lexie's innocence. He accusses them of all being against Lexie. Marlena takes him aside to cool down and tells him that it is not up to him to defend Lexie, she has money and resources to buy all the defense she needs. to focus his energy on Sami. Brandon runs into a worried Sami and she convinces him to go home with her. As they exit, they see Tony, who also tells Brandon that Lexie doesn't need him defending her. Brandon tells Tony that he should focus on going after Abe, not him, because Abe is the real enemy.
Later, John shares his plans to go to the island to uncover information on Tony and his hopes to finally neutralize the DiMera clan. Marlena says he shouldn't leave at this time, but Bo tells Marlena that John must go. Bo says if John can stop the DiMera's once and for all it will help all of their families as well as Hope. Later, Roman is called away to check a lead regarding Hope that is connected to a break in at a funeral home. He returns with a letter addressed to Bo, who realizes it's a good-bye letter...
Meanwhile, Sami and BRandon go back to her place. Sami gets into some sexy lingerei, only to find Brandon has fallen asleep on the sofa. She goes to be lay next to him, and is shocked when he calls out Lexie's name!
Chloe goes to Brady's loft after a sleepless night of thinking about his profession of love. She wants tell him how she feels but she's too afraid. They talk for awhile, and Brady gives Chloe a kiss. As he holds Chloe, who falls asleep, Isabella appears, informing Brady that he needs to find Chloe's father if he ever wants her to tell him that she loves him too...
At Brady’s, Brady tells Chloe that once she has her transplant she will pick up where she left off by going to New York and going to school. Brady notices that Chloe is asleep, and suddenly his mother arrives. She tells Brady that he must find Chloe’s father. Brady gets on the internet and searches for a Chloe’s father. He manages to locate a photo of her father. Chloe wakes up and asks him what he’s doing. Brady tells Chloe that he’s found a photo of her father. Chloe looks at the photo and says she doesn’t look like him at all. Chloe thanks Brady for finding her father. Brady says it is just a picture, but it is a start. Brady thinks they should show the photo to Craig so that he can give it to the PI he hired. They head to the hospital, and on the way they spot Sykes walking around in a cap and sunglasses! Brady chases after him, but loses him. He returns to Chloe, only to see him hanging around a boat. Chloe says that isn’t him, and Brady realizes she is right. Brady thinks his imagination is just playing tricks on him.
Chloe and Brady arrive at the hospital and meet Craig. Brady and Chloe say they have found a newspaper photo of Sykes. Craig wants to see it, but says they cannot tell Nancy about this. Craig goes to make a copy of the photo, and Brady and Chloe visit with Nancy. Nancy doesn’t have the test results yet, and they discuss names. Meanwhile, Craig gets the amnio results and reads them. He doesn’t look happy.
At Basic Black, John tells Marlena that is Hope is dead and was murdered, then here could be clues on DiMera Island. Marlena is called by Roman who asks her to come to the station and try and get Lexie to open up. Marlena leaves and John makes mysterious call. He tells the person on the phone to keep his family safe while he is away taking care of Dimera. John packs up all his gadgets when he sees a green light flashing on his desk. John locks all doors, grabs a gun, and aims it at a secret elevator. A man walks out, and John asks him what he is doing here? The man is of course Shane Donovan! Shane tells John that they have a lot to talk about, and what he has to say are pretty shocking. John shows Shane his new hidden surveillance system, which is behind a wall, and we learn that John is in fact an ISA agent.
At the station, Lexie tells Tony that she finally realizes if she goes to trial nothing will save her from the mob waiting to convict her, so he needs to get her out of here! Tony tells her the plan is already underway. He tells her that she will always be secure and well protected with him around. Marlena shows up and asks Tony how he plans to protect Lexie? Tony says that his sister is fearing for her life and afraid of what Bo might do to her. He says that is why he will make sure no harm comes to her. Tony insists Lexie has been framed, and no one believes her. LExie says she let go of Isaac, and she vowed not to interfere with him or his birthparents. Marlena asks LExie to talk to her so they can figure out what happened, but Tony refuses to let Marlena talk to LExie. Tony says Lexie will speak to no one without a lawyer, but Lexie thinks it couldn’t do harm to talk to Marlena. Tony says no way, they are depriving her of sleep and good food, so she will say anything to get out of here. Marlena says patient confidentiality would apply here, but Tony says what if she learned someone was in danger? Would she keep quiet? Marlena asks tony is he is admitting that he is afraid Lexie will tell her where Hope is? Lexie says if she knew where Hope was she would tell them, but she doesn’t, so there is no way she can incriminate herself. Tony still doesn’t think it is a good idea for her to speak to anyone right now because she could be called to testify against her. Marlena tells Lexie to think for herself, and to talk to her. Lexie doesn’t talk, and later Abe arrives to tell Lexie about the newest evidence against her.
Meanwhile, Bo looks at the goodbye letter from Hope as Jack and Abe watch. Jen arrives are realizes something bad has happened. Jack lets her know what is going on. Jen refuses to believe Hope is dead. Bo reads the letter, in which Hope says she will be dead by the time he reads this letter, that she hopes it gets to him, and that it was Lexie who did this to her. Bo is reduced to tears as he reads the letter, in which Hope says she knows there is nothing he can do to save her this time. Abe decides to take the letter to forensics, and Jen and Jack are floored when they learn Hope fears she will be dead by time they read this. Billie becomes emotional as she watches what this is doing to Hope’s friends and families, and especially Jen. Jen goes to comfort Bo, who thinks there is some kind of message in the letter, or it is a setup. Bo refuses to believe Hope is dead. Later, Abe returns and says the handwriting and fingerprints are hopes, and the paper is from Lexie’s datebook. Even later, the DNA results from the sweater are back. The bloodstains turn out to be Hope’s, and the hairs are Hope’s and Lexie’s! Bo still refuses to believe Hope is dead.
At the warehouse, Larry thinks LExie will either get the death penalty or spend the rest of her life in prison. Larry drinks and toasts to making the rest of Hope’s life a living hell. Larry makes plans to travel with Hope to some remote island where he will continue to keep Hope locked up. Meanwhile, Hope wonders if Bo has read the letter and figured out the clues she left in it. She soon realizes Bo can’t rescue her if he doesn’t know where she is, so she decides to try and find out where she is. Hope spies on Larry, and then looks for something useful. Meanwhile, Larry takes a walk, and sees Billie and her partner out on the docks. Billie convinces her partner to go get them some coffee and donuts so she can meet with Larry. Billie follows Larry back to the warehouse and tells him that this has to end no! Back in the warehouse prison, Hope finds a soda can tab and tries to break open the view-screen on the door so she can see out and see where she is. Color Hope shocked to see Billie talking to Larry!
