At the station, Belle asks a guard to give Shawn a note for her. He says that should be okay, and brings the note to Shawn. Shawn reads the note, in which Belle tells him that she loves him. She also tells him that she believes in him, even if he doesn’t believe in himself. She tells him that she knows he tried to protect her, and in spite of what has happened, she still loves him.
Elsewhere, Larry confesses to Abe that he killed Collin Murphy. Larry says he was going to let Shawn take the blame for the murder, until Bo came up with proof that Shawn may not have done it. Larry says he knows Bo would bust him eventually, so he’s hoping a deal can be worked out to spare him the death penalty. Abe says he can’t make that kind of deal, but he wants to know what happened before he even thinks about talking to the DA. Larry gives Abe a concocted story, and Abe tells Larry that he’ll be in touch about any deals.
At the hospital, Chloe and Brady wait outside of Nancy’s room for the baby to be born. Chloe hears Nancy scream and tells Brady that they are never having babies! Brady calls Chloe out for fantasizing about their future. Craig sends Chloe in to check on Nancy, who appears to be okay now thanks to an epidural. Chloe and Nancy talk, and Chloe says she doesn’t think she could take all that pain. Nancy also finds it funny that she was talking with Brady about having babies and the future.
Meanwhile, Craig talks with Brady about what Chloe is facing. Chloe needs to have chemo treatments to prepare her body for the transplant, and after the transplant she will need to be in isolation. Craig returns to Nancy, and Belle shows up to see Brady. She tells Brady that she knows Shawn didn’t kill Collin, but she is afraid that he’ll never get out of jail. Brady tells her that Shawn will get through this. Belle is upset and says she was horrible to Shawn when she came back, and now she may never be with him again. Later, Brady and Belle get a message from Marlena to meet her and John at the Dimera mansion. Brady says goodbye to Chloe, and he and Belle take off.
Tony returns to the mansion and to the twins. They give him a hug. He is glad to see them, but asks why they aren’t at school? They say they are taking the day off to be with Shawn, and they tell him what happened. Cassie works herself into a frenzy and ends up running off. Rex talks with Tony about his law studies, and how he’s beginning to feel anyone could be capable of anything given the right circumstances. Later, Cassie returns with lunch, and then Marlena and John show up. Cassie is not happy to see MArlena. Tony says he asked Marlena and John to drop by because he and Marlena have something to tell them. Cassie says she doesn’t want to hear anything she has to say. MArlena apologizes to Cassie for hurting her. She says she never stopped caring for her and only did what she thought was right for them. She asks for their forgiveness, but Rex says nothing has changed. Marlena says everything has changed. Tony decides to start and tells the twins that he, Marlena, and John found the place they were born, and they know how they were born. Marlena tells the twins that she has remembered giving birth to them. Marlena tells the twins that she is their mother. Tony pipes in that he is there father, and they are a family now. Belle and Brady show up at this point and here the confession.
Roman and Kate show up outside the pub, but Roman doesn’t want to go in there. Kate asks him if he is going to avoid his brother until the end of time? Suddenly, Nicole shows up and tells Roman that she has to turn herself in! However, she refuses to say anything in front of Kate. Roman asks Kate to go inside and wait for him. Kate goes into the pub, and Nicole talks to Roman. Roman asks Nicole what crime she committed? Suddenly, Victor shows up and tells Nicole to shut up and not say another word! Roman wonders what is going on here? Victor says Nicole just over reacted to some parking tickets and feared the police would come after her if she didn’t turn herself in. Roman doesn’t buy this bull, and goes into the pub. Victor and Nicole begin to argue about what she just did. Victor says the only reason he is saving her sorry butt is to protect his good name. Nicole says they will find out the truth, but Victor says he’s taken care of that. Victor gives Nicole the gun and gives her some orders. Later, on the mansion grounds, Victor instructs Nicole to dig a hole and burry the gun.
In the pub, Bo and Hope eat breakfast, and Bo continues to make notes about the case. Bo is convinced that someone else killed Collin. Kate comes in and tells Hope and Bo how happy she is for them that Shawn pleaded not guilty. Bo tells Kate not to worry about Shawn, but to worry about herself. He warns her that if she is hiding anything Roman will find out about it because he’s replaced his heart with a badge. Kate walks off, and Bo continues to vent to Hope about how angry he is with Roman. Roman shows up, and that just ticks Bo off even more. Kate urges Roman to talk to Bo, and he decides to try and make an effort. Bo, however, blows his brother off by telling him to go to hell! Roman gets a call from Abe telling him to get back to the station and bring Bo and Hope with him. Roman offers to drive them all, but Bo says no way. Bo and Hope take off, and Roman follows.
Back at the station, Abe tells Roman, Bo, and Hope that Larry Welch has confessed to killing Collin when Collin tried to get out of a deal they had set up to have Bo killed. Roman asks why Larry confessed? Abe says he wants a deal. Abe says they still have no proof other than Larry’s confession. Bo says that is enough, but Roman says Shawn also confessed. Roman and Bo get into an argument when Bo says Roman is sounding like he doesn’t want Shawn to go free. Roman ends up leaving, claiming he will find the evidence they need. While Roman is gone, Bo and Hope end up defying Palmer’s orders and they visit Shawn. They tell him about Larry’s confession. Shawn thinks it is all over. Bo says yes it is, and then they lecture Shawn about keeping this secret from them.
Meanwhile, Roman goes to see Larry and says there will be no taking to the DA about a deal until he gives them the evidence they need. Larry tells Roman where he buried the gun. Roman and Abe go to the grounds and find the gun right where Larry said he buried it. Victor and Nicole watch from a distance, and Victor gloats that not only has he saved her ass, but Nicole’s ass really does belong to him!
Bo and Hope are visiting Shawn at the station when DA Palmer bursts in, furious that his no visitors order has been defied. Bo and Palmer go head to head, and Palmer accusses the Brady Boys of running the department single handedly, which he vows to bring to and end. Bo coming close to knocking Palmer’s block off, but Abe and Roman break it up with news that Larry has confessed and they found the murder weapon where Larry said it would be. Palmer accuses the Bradys of covering up again and Roman threatens Palmer to back down. Bo overhears Roman going to bat for Shawn and is touched. HE thanks Roman for what he did, but he still doesn’t like the way he handled everything.
Shawn's released and rushes to Belle's dorm room, but finds Mimi sick in Belle's bed. She is shocked when Shawn kisses her awake. She explains she thought Belle was in Paris, so she came here to recuperate from her cold because she was annoying her family with her coughing. She asks him why he is not in jail? He fills her in on everything, including that Belle isn’t in Paris. Belle calls Mimi and says she has had a bad day and is going for a walk. Mimi tells Shawn where she is and he races out.
Bo and Hope return home where construction is being done to repair all the damage. Hope's extremely unsettled to be back in the house, but Bo promises that she is safe and protected. He sends the workers home and tells Hope he thinks they should spend the night in the house and try to expel her demons with Larry. Bo wants to fill her mind with happy memories and carries her upstairs...
Jack and Jennifer desperately try to find a spin on Shawn's story to help him with public opinion. Jen suggests they point out how he saved his mother and girlfriend’s lives. Harold interrupts with mail and Jennifer finds a letter from her father, saying he's sent her a surprise that should arrive soon. Latter, Jennifer gets a call and learns that Shawn has been released and that Larry has confessed to Colin's murder. She stops the presses and they scramble to rewrite the front page. As they wait for the revised paper to be printed, Jack and Jennifer celebrate by making love on her desk.
Rex shows up at the dorm looking for Belle, but finds Mimi, sick as a dog, in Belle's bed. She's glad to see Rex, but he's upset when he learns that Belle is with Shawn. Mimi picks up on this and confronts him about his feelings for Belle. She tells him that he has to get over Belle and stop trying to come between her and Shawn. He explains that it isn't what she thinks, and he tells her that Belle is his sister. Cassie returns from the police station, where she was looking for Shawn, and Mimi tells her to leave Shawn alone. Cassie wonders why Mimi won't tell her where Shawn is. Mimi eventually gloats that she is with Shawn, and they are probably making love. Cassie screams no and she throws a picture of Belle and Shawn across the room. Rex tells Cassie to pull it together because her jealous routine is going to cost her all her friends, including Shawn. Rex suggests she go back to the mansion, and she agrees. Later, Mimi and Rex try and open Mimi's cough medicine, and Mimi spills cough syrup on Rex's shirt, she strips the shirt off of him and his body turns her on. when things get a little too hot, Rex ends up returning to his room.
Shawn and Belle reunite at the pier and he explains why he's been released. He apologizes profusely for pulling away from Belle and promises he only did it because he didn't want to make her an accessory. Still hurt that Cassie was Shawn's confidante, and he explains that Cassie saw him shoot collin, he didn't tell her. Still, Belle feels hurt. She says things are only going to get worse and explains how Cassie is her half-sister. Belle thinks the tension between her and Cassie will only escalate now that they are half-sisters, and she says she feels pressure from her mom to set a good example for Cassie since Sami didn't set a good example for her. Shawn tries to reassure Belle that adding Rex and Cassie to her family doesn't change anything, but Belle is not convinced. Cassie goes to the pier and spots Belle and Shawn so close together and runs off in the other direction...
At the hospital, Nancy's labor continues as Chloe prepares to be admitted for her bone marrow transplant. It dawns on Chloe that she won't be able to have any physical contact for a while, so she grabs Brady and takes him home to make love. Later, Craig pages Brady and they're forced to return to the hospital because it's time to start her treatment. Craig doesn't say anything, but it's obvious Chloe's test results disturb Craig.
Lucas talks with his mom about Brandon and Sami moving in together, and he is furious because Sami did not consult with him before she moved in with Brandon (I don’t recall Lucas consulting Sami when he married Nicole?). Lucas damns Sami for doing this to him and Will and he wishes he could ring her neck. Roman shows up and suggests he not do that. Roman shocks Lucas and Kate when he agrees with them, this is a bad idea because Will is impressionable and he doesn’t want to see him getting attached to Brandon and have him leave. Lucas continues to badmouth Sami, saying she can’t hold onto a man, so this will keep happening. Roman tells Lucas to stop pushing it. Kate asks Lucas to excuse them, and she talks to Roman in private. Roman wishes Sami would have told him about t his. He also thinks they should make a commitment and marry. Kate tells Roman that he is a hypocrite; they have been sleeping together for months without talk of a commitment. Roman suggests they can fix that. Kate jokes if he is talking about making an honest woman out of her? Roman gets all fluttered and she laughs and tells him not to worry. Roman runs off, and Lucas returns and asks what happened. She tells him, and he asks her if she would really want to marry Roman. Kate says Roman is the best man she’s ever been involved with, and that’s why she knows they are doomed. Later, Lucas heads to Dot.Com and meets a nurse from the hospital there. They hit it off, and talk about jazz singers they like.
At the dorms, MArlena shows up to see the twins. Rex was going to leave, but he decides to make time for her. MArlena is impressed by his room and especially his scientific gadgets, such as his atom smasher. As they talk, Cassie shows up with the news that she aced another test. Marlena is shocked to learn Cassie doesn’t even go to class yet aces everything. Cassie thinks MArlena thinks of them as freaks. Marlena says she thinks of them as incredibly gifted. Cassie has been thinking about her all night and she asks how she could have forgotten giving birth to them? She says something was done to her to make her suppress her memories. However, she says it didn’t work, and she knew when she first saw them that they were connected. She says she will love them more as each day goes by. Rex says she isn’t to blame, she was a victim of Stefano just like they were. Cassie worries that they may be like Stefano, but she says they won’t. Marlena ask them to go to breakfast and talk, but Rex says they have to go to brunch at the mansion. Cassie asks for some time alone with Marlena and says she’ll meet Rex there. Cassie is afraid to trust Marlena because she might leave her again. Marlena says she won’t leave and she would do anything to change what happened to them. Cassie sees Marlena is crying, and is touched. Marlena tells Cassie that she shouldn’t keep Tony waiting, and she should go meet John.
At the DiMera mansion, Tony is having a “meeting” when Eliana disturbs him to let him know John Black is here and won’t leave until he sees him. Tony goes to see John, who wants to talk to Tony about some rules for their little family. Tony refuses to listen to John, but John refuses to leave. John wants to go in the living room and talk, but Tony says he’s having something for the twins prepared in there. John decides to lay down the ground rules, and tells Tony that he doesn’t want his wife being hurt, and he doesn’t want Tony falling in love with her. John ends up leaving, and Tony says they will play this game by his rules, not John’s.
Marlena goes to Basic Black and meets John. Cassie shows up and asks “mom” if she would still like having that late breakfast. MArlena says yes, and Cassie asks Marlena to come with her to the mansion. MArlena isn’t sure, but John says it is okay. They leave, and Kate shows up. John vents to Kate about his problems with Tony. Later, Roman shows up to see Kate. She tells him that he was only teasing her, and he says he knows. They then share a passionate kiss! Roman and Kate go into Kate’s office to fool around, and John’s ISA friend OPS watches them. He then goes in to see John to help him bring down Tony DiMera .
Back at the mansion, Rex shows up as the men Tony was meeting with leave. They say they will be in touch after the “job” is done. Rex tells Tony about marlena’s visit this morning. Tony talks about how Marlena is the most unselfish and caring woman. Rex confronts Tony and asks if Tony loves her? Tony says MArlena is in love with John, and she will never love or trust him because of what his father did, so there is no point in him loving someone who can’t return his love, and there is no point in him answering the question. Cassie and Marlena shows up, and tony thanks Marlena for coming. Marlena says John encouraged her to come. Tony says they should work together to do what is best for the twins.

Ops is impressed by John's spy room, but John is not thrilled that Ops is sticking his nose into his personal life. OPS knows alot about John's history, and he sees a picture of Marlena and understands why John is so willing to fight to the death for her. OPS gives John a walkthrough of the new gadgets he's brought for John. John decides to utilize Ops' sophisticated bugging and surveillance breaking devices to get into the DiMera Mansion and finally get the goods on Tony...
Brandon comes home from work to find a romantic lunch prepared by Sami. Touched, he wants to take her out to a romantic dinner; she goes over to ask Lucas to keep Will overnight and Nurse Deb answers the door. Sami is furious that Lucas has a problem with her living with Brandon while he's hosting a nurse playground in the apartment. Meanwhile, Victor continues to make Nicole's life miserable and demands she take off a red sweater he doesn't like. She runs off to Brandon and asks to borrow some money. His curiosity is piqued, but Nicole covers why she needs cash. He tells her to leave Victor, but she says she can't. Nico shows up and demands Nicole return home with him. Brandon says no, but Nicole calms the situation down and says she has an appointment to go to anyways. Nico brings Nicole home and Victor reveals that she's been fired from Titan so she can spend all her time pleasing her husband. Meanwhile, Sami returns to Brandon; upset off her argument with Lucas and learning that Nicole stopped by. She calls Nicole dirty names, which angers Brandon. Sami points out that Nicole has no love for her, and probably has never said one nice thing about her. Brandon can't argue with Sami there. Sami ends up distracting Brandon by seducing him...
