February 3
At Jen’s place, Jack thanks Alice for reminding him of what he almost lost. Alice tells him that the first time she saw them together it reminded her of what she and Tom had. The doorbell rings, so Jack goes to answer it. It is Nicole, and she is furious with him for working with Sami against her. She manages to cast suspicion on Victor, and Jack thinks he now knows who killed Collin. Jack says Sami is obviously accusing her to try and protect someone else, Brandon! Nicole says her brother is not capable of murder, but Jack says Austin would say otherwise. Jack says Brandon does have a temper, and anyone can be pushed to murder. Nicole tells Jack to watch Law and Order, because who done it is never who you think it is. Jack ends up showing Nicole the door.

At Brandon’s place, Sami admits to Brandon that she is trying to protect him because she knows he killed Collin. Sami says she couldn’t let him go to jail. Brandon asks Sami why she just didn’t ask him if it was true or not? Sami realizes that Brandon didn’t kill Collin. She tells him that she overheard him talking to his mother, and when he couldn’t tell her that he didn’t kill Collin, she just assumed that he did it. They end up in an argument, and Sami tells Brandon that she loves him for who he is, not what he’s done, and she thought that he felt the same way about her. Brandon asks her how she thought he would feel if Nicole was arrested? Sami says she wasn’t making up evidence, and Brandon says no she was just nudging suspicion along so it looked like Nicole did it. Brandon also says that he would never let Nicole take the blame for something he did, and he also says if he thought Nicole was guilty then he would take the wrap. Sami asks “what about me?” She asks him for once to think about their future and not his sister’s. Brandon tells Sami that she is impulsive, and she needs to learn to make smarter choices. They get into yet another fight, and Sami ends up telling Brandon that he has to choose between her and his sister! Brandon freaks out and tells Sami to get out!

At Bo and Hope’s, Bo head inside with the bloody towel, and places it in a bag, and then in a drawer. He then listens in as Hope confesses to Jen that she killed Collin. Bo walks in and he is not pleased. Bo walks in and tells Hope that she did not kill Collin. He says not only haven’t they found the gun that killed Collin, but Davis (Victor’s driver) said she did not have any signs of blood on her when he drove her home. Hope says she knows what she did, but Bo says she only thinks she knows what she did. Jen decides to make some tea, and Bo worries. He says he needs to make sure Jen finds what she needs, and he heads into the kitchen. Jen is holding the bloody towel! Bo explains where he found the towel, and how Hope doesn’t remember what happened that night. He asks Jen to keep this quiet because he has to know what they are dealing with before he tells Hope about the towel. Jen asks if he will tell Roman and Abe? He says no, Hope will not be considered a suspect by anyone! Hope comes in to help Jen, and Jen says she is going to head home now. Hope urges her to see a doctor, but Jen says she hasn’t even done a pregnancy test. Jen leaves, and Hope talks to Bo. Hope tells Bo that she is feeling better lately. Bo decides to go have her prescription filled, but Hope says she doesn’t think she needs it. Bo says just incase he’ll have it filled anyways. Hope begins to flashback to being held captive, and she decides to enroll in a self-defense course. Meanwhile, Bo calls John and tells him that he needs a lab test done on some blood, so John gives him information on a private lab that can do the work.

Jen goes home, and Jack shows Nicole the door. Alice asks Jen how she is, and she just hugs her Gran. Alice heads home, and she asks Jack why Nicole was here? Jack says she was worried about Collin’s murder. Jen tells Jack that they should forget about the murder and leave it to the police. Jack asks Jen what is going on, what isn’t she telling him?

Larry returns to his hotel room and is upset that his plan didn’t work out. Larry begins reading a book on medical disorders, which he stole from Hope’s, and he reads up on Hope’s condition. He sees that the book originally came from Marlena. Larry decides to switch the medicine that Hope is taking with something else, and he works on forging a prescription from Marlena.

At the hospital, Lexie shows up to see Tony. She has brought him some books to read while they wait to see if the surgery was a success. Tony refuses to wait here and wants to be released. He says he needs to think about the twins right now, they need a family and a future. Lexie wonders if they are his children, and if so why their father would do this to him. She begins remembering what Stefano did to her in regards to Hope’s child and the baby switch. Lexie asks Tony if their father really is gone this time? He says no, and later Rolfe, disguised as a doctor, comes to see Tony. Rolfe swears that Stefano swore to him that the twins weren’t DiMera’s, but Tony says Rolfe has been lying to him about many things in regards to the twins. Tony demands to know what his father planned for the twins, who is their mother, and what else has he lied to him about? Rolfe assures him that he has not been lying about anything else, and he doesn’t have the answers. Tony says he wants the twins to lead normal lives, so if they are used in any way for some nefarious purposes, then there will be hell to pay! Later, Lexie returns with some food for Tony. Tony asks Lexie to test his responses and see if he’s getting any better. She tests him by putting a pin on his foot to see if he can feel anything. He reacts, and they think it means he’s going to walk again.

In Marlena’s office, John and Marlena continue talking about returning to DiMera Island. Marlena refuses to leave the twins alone in Tony’s care. John asks MArlena if the real reason she doesn’t want to go is that she might find out that the twins aren’t hers. John feels that MArlena wants them to be her children. Marlena says she doesn’t want to believe she gave birth to the twins and then left them to live the life they did. MArlena says if they do go back to the island, what if they find out that she did give birth to them in some horrible experiment. She asks John if he’ll be able to accept that she is Rex and Cassie’s mother? John says they don’t know who they really are or what they are capable of. HE also says that he has spent a good chunk of his life looking for his family, and just because one is related to someone else by blood, it doesn’t mean you have to . . Marlena asks John if he is asking her to turn her back on her children? John says he would never ask her to do that, he is just asking her to be careful. John says he wants her to be happy, but he also wants her to be alive. Marlena still doesn’t want to leave the twins in Tony’s care, and she says if they make one wrong move he can keep her from seeing the twins. John says that is something Tony won’t do, because she is part of his larger plan. Marlena says she doesn’t care about Tony, what he wants, or what his plan is. She tells John that she loves him, and that he is her husband.

Nancy asks him if he wants to know what happened or not? Craig says he does, but right now they need to take care of her and of Chloe. They return to trying to put the crib together, but silently Nancy plans to find out the truth about who lied to her about Chloe now. Later, Nancy calls her father and asks him to come out for a visit. She asks him to think about it, and after hanging up, Craig asks who that was? She claims it was a friend from lamaz class, but Craig feels that she isn’t telling him something.

At Brady’s, Brady worries about Tony. He tells himself that he can’t handle it if Tony ends up paralyzed because of him. Chloe, who is with him, calls the hospital to check on Tony for Brady. Chloe tells Brady that there is no change yet, and she tells Brady not to blame himself. Brady says that he is to blame. Chloe tells Brady that instead of feeling guilty, perhaps he should try and feel thankful towards Tony for saving him so that they could be where they are right now. They talk a bit more, and Brady talks about locking her up with him forever. She says that will be a problem because she has to leave him soon. Chloe says she has to be isolated before her treatment. Brady tells her about all the plans he has to do around his place, and how he’s going to plant a garden on the terrace for her and the flowers will all have bloomed when she is ready to leave the hospital. Brady promises to make every day from now until she goes into the hospital special and happy, and those memories will hold her over until she gets out, when they will make more happy memories. They begin kissing, and soon end up doing a lot more than kissing.

At the dorms, Rex and Cassie leave Shawn and Belle to talk. Belle tells Shawn that she is leaving Salem to study in Paris. He is shocked that she is going to leave. She asks if there is a reason she should stay? He says no, and they get into a huge argument. Belle asks Shawn why he can’t tell her what is wrong, and what is going on with him and Cassie. She asks if he has decided Cassie is the woman for him? HE says no, and he tells Belle that he doesn’t want to break up with her because he loves her. Belle says she loves him too, and she thought that this was it, this was the time she thought they would get it right and be together forever. Belle knows this has to do with Collin’s murder, and she says whatever happened they can work through this together. Shawn still refuses to tell her anything. He says he will miss her, and Belle begs him not to let her go. They share a kiss, and Belle asks Shawn to make love to her. Shawn says they can’t. Belle asks why he is pulling away from her? He remembers shooting Collin, and then tells Belle that if she loves him then she should go to Paris. Belle says she will go, but it isn’t what she wants. Shawn says it is they way it has to be. Belle thinks that whatever he is hiding it can’t be that bad. Shawn remembers Cassie telling him that if she tells Belle the truth then he is risking her future. Shawn tells Belle that she is better off staying away from him, and the sooner she leaves the better.

At the hospital, Marlena tells John that she has invited the twins to come see her so that she can tell them that she’s removing herself from their case. John asks why she came to this decision? She says it is because she can’t remain objective. The twins show up to meet with Marlena, and Cassie hopes this is something good. Marlena says it could be a whole new beginning for all of them. John leaves them, and Marlena tells them that something has happened that changes her relationship with them, and that is why she wants to talk to them. Cassie asks if she wants to be their mother now? Marlena says she wants them to stay close. Marlena tells them about how she has to have distance from her patients to be helpful to them. She says she has deep feelings for them, and that makes her an unhelpful therapist to them. Cassie thinks Marlena is kissing them off, and that they are nothing but lab rats to her. Marlena says that is not true. Cassie tells Marlena that she hates her and never wants to see her again. Rex tells Cassie that she hasn’t heard Marlena out. Cassie refuses to hear Marlena out and runs off. Rex lashes out at Marlena and tells her that she has no idea what kind of hell she is putting Cassie through. Marlena says she just can’t be their therapist, that is all. Rex thinks that she is pulling away from them, and Cassie is feeling rejected by her. Rex says Cassie is changing, she is going after things she can’t have and she is keeping secrets from him. Rex thinks it will be better for both of them if they don’t see her at all! Rex walks out, and Marlena cries.

Cassie runs into John in the hallway and tells him that she knows he put Marlena up to this, and she hates him. She shows John her tattoo and says she is a DiMera now, all DiMera! Cassie says Tony and Lexie are the only people who have been kind to her. They get into a huge argument over the DiMeras. John says that Marlena cares about them and is only trying to do the best thing for them. Cassie says that is not true, Marlena never cared about them. Cassie says Marlena and Belle are both so cruel and selfish, more than any DiMera. Cassie says she hates Marlena for lying to her, and she will never forgive her for this! Cassie then runs off.

John goes to see Marlena and to comfort her. Marlena thinks she’s done a terrible thing. John says that they will know the truth in a few weeks, but Marlena says that could be too late. Marlena says if she is their mother, she may have already lost their trust. John says the sooner they head to the island and find the answers, the better for all of them. John is afraid to go away and leave her alone right now, but she says she will be fine because she is going with him. John asks her if she is sure? Marlena says whatever secrets they find out, they will find out together.

Rex and Cassie meet up later at the dorms, and he tells her to forget about Marlena and John. Rex says everything will be okay. She says it won’t be okay until Shawn breaks up with Belle and can be with her. She says then she’ll have someone who loves her and only her! Cassie and Rex end up hearing Belle and Shawn fighting, which is music to Cassie’s ears. Cassie hears Shawn break up with Belle, and she thinks that her dreams are coming true, and Shawn will be hers. Back in their room, Belle tells Shawn that she never really knew him, and that maybe they were never meant to be.

Tony says he doesn’t know. Kate thinks Marlena must be grieving for the time she lost with the twins. Roman walks in and asks what they are talking about? Kate says the Gemini twins. Roman says MArlena is not their mother, and he wonders what ideas Tony is putting into Kate’s head. Tony says he believes he is the twins’ father, and Kate was the one who jumped to the conclusion that Marlena was their mother. Roman asks to talk to Tony alone, so Kate leaves. Roman says he has an update on the hit-n-run. Roman says the car that hit him was stolen, so they are at a dead end. Roman leaves and goes to Marlena’s office where he finds Kate leaving a note for Marlena. She marks it personal and leaves it on Marlena’s desk. Roman and Kate leave, and Roman asks Kate to have a cup of coffee with him. She says she doesn’t have the time, so he tells her to make it. Roman warns Kate to stay away from Tony because he is just like his father. Kate asks if Roman thinks Marlena is the mother of the twins. Roman says if she is then it is a new low for Stefano. Roman tells Kate that he’d like to protect her from the DiMeras, but she needs to tell him what she is hiding. Kate says nothing, so he says she knows where to find him. Back in Tony’s room, Tony consults with a specialist about his recovery.

Jen says she does love him, and it is because she loves him so much that she can’t tell him that she might be pregnant! Jack asks if she is saying . . . Jen says she is saying that it would be Collin’s. Jen says she was so desperate to save him that she just didn’t think. Jack thinks that perhaps she has the flu. Jen says maybe she does, she hasn’t taken a test yet. Jack asks why she hasn’t taken the test yet? Jen says she doesn’t want to admit that it is true. Jen asks Jack how he will feel if she is pregnant with Collin’s baby? Jack tells Jen that he’s sorry, but he has to go. Jack walks out of the house, and Jen is devastated.

At Bo and Hope’s, Hope runs into Larry in her basement. Meanwhile, Bo comes home and hears a struggle in the basement. He goes downstairs and finds Hope working out with a punching bag. Hope says she signed up for this class to get into better shape and to help herself. She says she doesn’t ever want to be a victim again. She says she isn’t discounting therapy, but she is doing everything she can to protect herself. Hope takes some of her pills, and she says Larry Welch will never get her again! Later, Bo gets a call from the lab about the towel, and Hope accidentally picked up and heard the results. The blood isn’t human blood, and Bo is relieved. Hope confronts Bo, and he tells her about finding the towel. She realizes that Bo thinks she killed Collin. Bo says he doesn’t think she killed Collin. He says he wanted to check it out and didn’t want to worry her. He once again tells Hope that she is not a killer. Bo says the blood was chicken’s blood, that is all. Hope begins to feel better, and she wonders if it is the pills. She vows to beat this thing for him, the boys, and for herself.
